Wanted to try ML.  They aren't very good  :))  Only $20 shipped, though.  I'd probably use it at work or something if it didn't have 9/10ths keys.

Nice, still waiting for mine.

But ... I don't think that keycap is going to fit that keyboard very well ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

speaking of fit : (
i bought 2 of them one for the filco ninja and one for my daskeyboard
i mounted the red ESC on the filco and it kept rubbing on the top part of the  esc key square
reinstalled the ninja oem esc no rubbing at all. have not tried the DS on the daskeyboard yet

but i just kept it off for use as a novelty item on the shelf of my desk
i think im a little ocd about it buy i didn't want to scratch my new key
though it may not work for my Filco (hopefully just mine) i still love the key super high quality imo

this part of the key

I received a Filco TKL from Keyboardco today. With MX Brown switches. Now I need one of the group buys to hurry up so I can get some decent keycaps. The standard ones seem to have the legends printed on and the font isn't so nice. Looking for some nice doubleshots in WYSE or the Cherry font.

Was just getting used to typing on my Noppoo Choc Mini and before that the Daskeyboard. This one seems to have a bit better build quality than the Noppoo though.
No pics, but I bet you all know what a Filco looks like :p

Here is what I did for my Filco:

Step 1:  Replace alphas with a set of $18 "Extra Original Cherry Keycaps"  white-on-blacks from Signature Plastics.
Near the bottom of the page here: http://keycapsdirect.com/marketplace.php

Step 2: Sign up for the Klaxon Group Buy for double-shot keycaps.  This will take a few months, probably, but is worth the wait:
http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=37225.0

That will get you some keycaps you can live with for now (the Cherry Keycaps are quite nice to type on) and will eventually have a really spiffy set of 'caps for your Filco.

Also, welcome to GeekHack!

I second what samwisekoi said. Also, if you want a nice set of doubleshots now, while you wait for the group buy(s) to complete, you can order standard black with white legends or white with black legends from Signature Plastics http://www.keycapsdirect.com/marketplace.php. $60 for a full set, or $35 each for base kit and modifiers, if you want to mix and match, like this:

Also, join as many group buys as you can afford. You will regret it later if you don't. There are several GBs in the ordering stage going on right now:

Klaxon

Toxic

Elvish (Sindarin)
KMAC :: LZ-GH :: WASD CODE :: WASD v2 :: GH60 :: Alps64 :: JD45 :: IBM Model M :: IBM 4704 "Pingmaster"

Thanks for the advice! I already signed up for the Toxic set GB since I think it's a really good looking set to go with a black Filco. I am not sure if white keycaps would look nice but if it's just $18 for the basic keys I might as well try it out.

I wouldn't sign up for ALL the group buys.. Where would I put all the keys on? Are you suggesting I buy more keyboards just for the custom keycaps? Okay, you convinced me... :D

Been silly busy lately and this definitely cheered me up (I even rushed to the post office when I was dead tired from work)

This has been something I wanted since I joined Geekhack a year and half or so ago, I was throwing money and yet I couldn't get this so this was a long time in the makin

Still killing me.

He enjoys this.
