DZ60 only works on one pc
« on: Mon, 25 June 2018, 06:01:26 »
Hi all.

Just built my first keyboard using a DZ60, got it programmed and it works fine on my home PC, but when I tried to use it at work it just dosn't register, all I get is a 'Unknown USB Devise (Device Descriptor Request Failed)'.

Has anybody else had an issue like this and know a fix?

Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong place, this is also my first forum post

Thanks

I’ve never had this issue my dz60s, they all work fine on other computers.

Have you tried uninstalling the device on that computer from the device manager and plugging it back in?

I sometimes have issues with my KBP V80 and MOON (Kimera controller) if I plug them into a new computer or into a different USB port.

Something that usually works for me is rebooting with the keyboard plugged in so that the BIOS/UEFI initializes it. Sometimes I just have to wait several minutes for Windows to find the driver though.
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

The world has become a weird place.

Thanks for the suggestions, I tried pretty much everything.
Finally got to the bottom of it, turns out the cable was buggered.
