And i'm not sure how you guys feel about fakes, but my brother bought me a pretty good replica of a Milgauss

Show Image

Nice fake

I bought one of these in Thailand a few years ago and got really upset when it stopped ticking the following morning

Took me a day to realise that it was actually such a good fake that it had the self winding movement and it had just run out from not being worn  :D

That is a damn accurate fake.
They just flubbed up on the minute hand.

Yeah, it's still a wind up. It's just the face colour that lets it down really.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

That's nice man. I bought my gf a DW for Christmas. I really like how simple they are.

Ye, not much of a watch except the design tho. Super fragile, and I'll make sure to get a water resistant clock next time, but it looks real nice! :)

My Squale 20 Atmos Classic arrived today so I decided to take a family picture. I'd like to say I won't buy a 4th watch this year but if I find the funds for a Zodiac Sea Dragon I'll probably buy one.  :))

Really should do something about that watch band, but afraid that anything that looks halfway decent will get ruined in the pool.

It's awesome, I love all the styling throwbacks to their older watches. But it costs so much. :'(

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Found my next watch purchase, Christopher Ward 38mm Trident 600 GMT. Originally I wanted a Zodiac Sea Dragon but the functionality of the Ch Ward makes it way cooler. Also the decompression + GMT bezel insert is something I haven't seen before and I love it.

Geek time. My solar watch charging rig... Ya. ~10000lux, so easy enough to get the charging time right according to the manual.

LCD says 0.10A.

Edit, added 2nd picture, taken by the Note4 that was pictured in the first picture.
Edit^2, reattached as smaller pix, no need for fullsize ;o

Haha.. Explorer II Polar is a really nice watch but since I have these small wrists, 42mm is a little on the big size for me.  Otherwise I would own one already.  :)

Good thing you tried it on and liked it.  I tried it on and just didn't like it but then again, I already have a 16570 (that's the previous version of the Explorer II at 40mm) and it fits perfectly.

Haha I'm the complete opposite. I tried the 40mm and it looked a bit too small for me but I like bigger watches. Also not having solid endlinks and the heftiness kinda put me off.

I don't mind the heft but find smaller diameter watches fit my wrist better.  :)   The biggest I'd go is 41mm which is the Tudor Black Bay.

Thanks and I love the new line of Tudors announced at Baselworld this year especially the Black Bay Bronze and the 36mm one.  Collecting watches can be time consuming and expensive and that's why I'm back to collecting Clacks!

You sir have fine taste haha. I have been waiting for the in-house black bay for a while now and now that it's finally out its back to 2nd on my list. It's a long list and will probably keep growing haha

Thanks and I love the new line of Tudors announced at Baselworld this year especially the Black Bay Bronze and the 36mm one.  Collecting watches can be time consuming and expensive and that's why I'm back to collecting Clacks!

Both of you guys have great collections from what I've seen. I'm hoping I'll be able to buy my first luxury watch for my 20th this summer, thinking about getting a Speedmaster.

Hey thanks!  :)   And Speedy is a nice watch.  Omega, Tag, Breitling, etc those were my first love.  Don't forget to post some pics if you decide to get it.
