Looks great! Any chance sharing the qq group#?
Hawt af! This will be my first TKL. 1st prototype looks more appealing to me. How's the plan for GB?
Super dope. Have you decided if this is going to be limited or not? Also I love the idea of implementing the side curve to capture the shape of the taichi circle. That is just so original. Very very beautiful work!
I really like side profile 2. The curves go with the theme. Is it just me or the red more pink? I would like to see a darker red :)
Also, any specs on the weight?
Poll added on OP's request
Voted! Have you decided on a pcb yet? Is it compatible with a universal tkl pcb like xd87?
Centering the logo above the arrow cluster would be nice, having it off to the side kind of bothers me. What is the price looking like?
Plans for iso?
does Eve have a time line laid out for this? i know they do things in short notice is it expected next month or this month still?
Looks really good! love the yin and yang back. But i'm worried about the seams? the CNC control needs to be tight otherwise the seams won't be flush with each other and that just detracts from the beauty of the product.

Did voiced the concern over to them. Then again if people wants a perfectly seamless side theb probably machining hours and cost will be an issue. Let me see how the prototype type turns out.
Side profile 1 reminds me of Realforce 87UB, which still to this date I consider the best front and side curve. Simple, ergonomical and good looking. To me, it's better than thick RAMA bezels.
However, to be truly good keyboard, and equal or better than RAMA, this needs to have integrated plate. I think you just can't match chasis rigidity of an integrated plate.
Will not be doing integrated plate. I personally see more cons than pros for an integrated plate.

Would you care to clarify?
Will there be an option without blockers?
If yes, I'm planing on buying ALPS TKL KBP V80 board, and then transplanting plate and PCB into TaiChi.
Do you think this is doable?
The PCB and Plate would need to be the exact same as this board. 99% unlikely. The only time you can do this is when the case is built with those intentions (ie Norbaforce).

Not necessarily so. It really depends on PCB's shape and dimensions of TaiChi.
There are standard dimensions of TKL PCBs (although we're talking about unwritten standards), and if the board is in compliance with that, you can put pretty much anything in there.
I've seen a lot of people using TEX aluminium case as a host for donor plate and PCB from V80 and other ALPS boards. But I just thought TaiChi looks better.
It really depends on the maker's intention. Some of them like interchangable PCBs, others don't.
Also, I'm not against the idea of making slight modifications to the plate if needed, as long as it's not too extensive. I can do drilling new screw holes and trimming from the sides, but I can't make new switch slots or make a new plate altogether.
The only thing that could fuk up things very badly is a position of a USB connector.
Please refer to Post #5. I have important updates there. Cheers.
Edit: Changed to Post #5. Had too much Japanese whiskey.
I know the majority prefers profile one with its curves, but i much prefer profile 2. lol
2.1 render doesn't seem to match side profile 1? Looks like it goes straight back while the side profile 1 had a nice subtle curvature toward the middle. That's what was so attractive about it imo.

I agree. The original side profile 1 has a graceful swoop vibe, which goes well with the bottom design.
if this doesn't drop ISO support and i'm not too broke
i'm in

Hard lei, maybe got China buy with square profile I can rope you in lol.
Version 2.3 CAD for CNC - still looking through for changes and improvement before committing.Show Image(https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/312287977151660042/501401151611207711/715ada0e62a156af.jpg)Show Image(https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/312287977151660042/501401151024136224/-7eb4e2c70dfd5f4.jpg)Show Image(https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/312287977151660042/501401151611207710/-1b882da75bcc3128.png)

Lulz, all the while the team have been talking. Currently trying to help resolve moon and mira replacement stuffs so Eve can focus on this GB. Meanwhile the team is pretty tied up by Kira80 as well. Wanted to make sure all arrangements are good and settled, so we can have a blast later on.
My only gripe is the seam line on the side profile but I think it is inevitable...
Is there anywhere else to place the yin and yang (current on top of the arrow keys)? It's kinda jarring against all the sharp angles.

No plans to change from that spot.

I like the area it's in, but it's driving me crazy that it's centered horizontally but not vertically.
I think they mean they would like it a cm or so lower so it is centered between Page Down and the right arrow keysIs there anywhere else to place the yin and yang (current on top of the arrow keys)? It's kinda jarring against all the sharp angles.

That is how the taichi symbol is, placing it horizontally is not correct.

I adore this board and am very keenly watching. If the price is right i'll definitely get one if I can. Good work!
The newest design is strongly my favorite I love love love that side profile.

Am in discussion on cost and how to bring this to the market. Trying to avoid middleman vendors as well.
Do note the amount of curves, fillets in this project is significant, which will certainly add up to machining hours and QC itself.

Wow these pics look great! Will there be other color options for the logo insert?
Getting close to GB??
Awesome can't wait. Have you decided if it will be fcfs or raffle?Wow these pics look great! Will there be other color options for the logo insert?

GB will be titianium insert for logo, not brass.
Still waiting on pcb. Gonna wait all is good before running.
Colour options yet to be decided.

More photos of the Black prototype. Currently in talks with PCB manufacturer to make sure bad PCBs don't happen.

Love the design! Definitely interested if GB starts
Pricing probably at 320 USD for base kit with keyboard bag, will confirm later. :3
Really interested, i love the rounded edges on this :)

1. Currently doing test fitting with PCB, working with PCB manu
2. Trying to CNC the new logo and see if it works, else would revert logo back to original design
3. Thinking of a way to deal with payments and collections, not doing PayPal since it locks up fund easily. Thinking of Transferwise.
4. Working with Eve at the moment on colour selection, pricing for additional parts etc.
5. Targeted price at USD 320 (not confirmed), excluding shipping and other fees. Base kit includes Keyboard + PCB + Bag
6. Estimated to start next week or the week after. Will open GBs for locals in Singapore/Msia first then Intl. China will probably be ran directly from Eve side.
7. Looking to help the settle the Moon and Mira replacement parts in the other GB so we could have a good start

Does the Singapore/Msia included in the 60 units? Hoping I can get a spot. I really love this! :p

welp there go my chances lmao
Expected over 400 because EVE, but 320 would make this very affordable. Would kill for the TX style antique finish in particular :)
