Update:

The middle diffuser has been ordered. I'm expecting to receive the PCBs and the diffuser prototype this week. I'll update with photos by then.

Here are some pics of Mars 8.0 with keycaps. I don't have a keyset to pair the white case so these pics are more for testing the dimension. Everything fits well as expected.

The PCBs are working perfectly.

The diffuser prototype needs some modifications. It's a easy modification so I'll just place the order for all the diffusers.

Production will begin soon^tm

OK. We're expecting to finish the production around the end of this month or early next month.

GB form re-opens one day for those who were hesitated to join and just get confidence from this update.

Whoa, that looks good! Do you have any more pictures? I'd love to see a top/front view like when you are typing on it, a side view, and an view from the top left to see better how the high profile caps look on the board.

The default kit has one PCB included. Check the "additional PCB" only if you want two PCBs.

Anyone in this GB that would offer assembly service? (soldering, in switch LEDs, sip sockets)...

Might be interested in switch lubing/stickering depending on what you'd be charging.

If Sylvester agrees, I'd change my shipping address to you to save on shipping ...

I figured out that the pp id you filled in the form was capitalized, so you didn't receive the invoice. I will send you a new invoice.

since it's anodized you're better off getting it matched after it shows up

Did we ever hear anything back about colored screws or brass/anodized diffuser?

I'm going fully black & brass (I don't like LEDs), so a brass diffuser would be awesome, but otherwise I just won't include it in my build.

Brass screws would be awesome but I don't know if that's possible.

Generally, anodized screws are hard to find in specific sizes. If you want them, I'd suggest looking after you know what sizes you need, and just buying them yourself.

Brass screws, same deal.

I was actually thinking about sourcing some anodized screws for myself, so if anyone wants to know where I got them (when I actually buy them), I'll post it here.

Sylvester: What size screws are in the case? (Threads, length, head style, etc?)

There might be a little delay. I really hope I can stick to the original timeline so I'm pushing the factory to hurry up. Even it will be delayed, it won't be long. There will be a major update about the current status in several days. I will get some photos from the factory and have a new estimation of shipping date.

To be honest, I didn't expect that. Because of the (imho) kinda thight time calculation I was expecting it to be like one month late... I guess you're doing good work, thanks for that

Another thing I'm really curious about (though I don't know if you want to talk about it): Do you mind sharing how many orders you got? For me it's only about knowing whether I'm one of 30 or one of 300, kinda like estimating how often I'll meet that board in future.
