Started making artisans, and looking for advice

So I've never been really artistic, and I decided I would give sculpting a try. I made these over the past month or so, and any criticism/ advice is more than welcome!

Turtle

My first, and by far my favorite

Random Dinosaur


Random thing (I have no idea what to call it)


Bear

This one I couldn't seem to get right no matter how often I would change it, probably not going to end up making these

Vintage TV

This one still needs some work, but you get the idea

Topre blanks

I have these for control/ caps lock, Arrow clusters, escape, and I may make a WASD cluster


And possible a Danger Zone one

Why does that turtle look so good, have you painted the shell?  Easily my favourite too, though the dinosaur is also cool and the blanks look nice and grippy.

As to advice, does the neck hit neighboring caps when on a board?  I also wonder how you're intending to extract it from a mold, unless you are planning to sculpt/paint each one?

No, the white is because I wanted to add the finer details after the clay hardens, and for some reason it turns white.
I made sure when I first made them that they don't interfere with other caps. The turtle is the only one with some problems, if you put it behind another artisan that has a higher profile than most caps it will interfere (I haven't tested with SA though, but all others are fine)
I plan on using a softer silicon, but I don't think I'll have many problems with the turtle, since there isn't anything sticking out too much.

Great looking caps!  I recently started sculpting.  If you don't mind me asking, what type of clay are you using?   I've been using this stuff called Fimo, but I think I lose detail when I bake it.  Your turtle is killer!

I use some off brand polymer clay I got at Michael's

I works pretty well, and the temperature that it hardens at is much lower than the temperature that PBT melts (I put them in the toaster oven at about 250 degrees Fahrenheit)
