add trackpoint to existing keyboard.

searches failed, so i'm making a fresh thread for this, with the terms i searched for, so i, and others, will better be able to find this, and hopefully if there are existing threads and posts about this, they can get linked in subsequent posts.

add trackpoint to existing keyboard.

i know it's been done.  i know i've seen it before.   ... or was i dreaming.

add navigation wart.  add navigation nipple.  add... what are the other terms for those things again?

where have those threads gone?

I am curious about the Atreus track point project, there is not that much space in the PCB version, was it a hand wired one?

No, it's using a PCB. The trackpoint module fits between the plate (1.5mm) and the PCB. Thereare basocally no margins though.

Oh, I see, very interesting, I was implicitly thinking in having the track point module below the PCB and drilling some hole in the PCB. But then, does it not interfere with the keys? I guess you don't have some graphical info of your setup... ;)
