I would definitely want to try one of those keys to see if I like it at all before spending that much money on it.

What's to try? They're simply collectibles. Throw it in the ESC row and call it a day.

Believe it does. I think I've seen one in reaper's or Tsangan's collection.

Does anyone know if it's possible to order more than one of the same clack during a sale? Let's say the limit was three clacks like the last sale, would it be possible to list....8 8 8 in your order form and get three of the same clack?

No, you get one one of each number he lists. So you can only get one #8.

Ages ago I asked here about translucent info.

I got a response from CC himself a while back. He says the translucent keycaps (any many others) were not sold in public sales.

Just in case anyone's interested.

Cool. I'll eventually migrate this and the Clack wiki currently, along with and update, into the new Wiki when Rkinze rolls it out.

I wonder what service those who have a transparent CC had to perform to get one.

Or what sacrifice they had to make.

Not necessarily.  I might be avoiding myself because of the potential embarrassment that might cause.

I've updated the OP with some info I thought should be there. Check it out. I also stated this before but there will be an overhaul when the new Wiki comes. I will be combining this and the Wiki and hopefully make a more comprehensive article.

And as always, any help is appreciated.

Need help.
I bought a clack in fengs auction. It was declared as "white". I was curious cause it didn't look like the common hardcore white on the pics, so I bought it.

Received it today and it really wasn't hardcore white. It nearly has the same base color as the 3D clack. Maybe very little different, but this could be due age.

Anybody knows its name? Is it "Depth White"?

Can take pics tomorrow with hc and 3d as comparison.

thanks

I'm curious about a few things. So these are plastic? I read the info thread and it really didn't specify. Also, are these something that you guys keep as commonly pressed keys? Do they keep? Or do you keep them on an area of the keyboard that's seldom used?

I've heard Delrin might be the plastic used. But even Clack has stated that he's tried different materials, so it could vary.

my new clack. in the middle. So if Dans pic is correct, it is depth white. But there is still a litte difference to 3D.

(Attachment Link)

thats depth black on the right?  what's next to it?

EK Gray maybe?

I think it's EK Grey

Yes they're plastic...I use them on one of my daily drivers on the arrow cluster, they don't really wear. I've seen an OG Tricolor that yellowed though.

Most people keep them on the function row, Escape is popular.

My WASD cluster got a little shine on it after about a year of heavy use. It's not too bad though, and only noticeable when the light catches it.

I guess most people wouldn't put Skull keycaps where they use then regularly, except something obvious like Esc.

It would be kinda distracting to type on a board of just Skulls.

It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
