Pretty but too bad the digilog feels like poop.
When I first got the digi I instantly went and dropped in a straight 55g 87u and you're absolutely right - didn't feel great. In fact had some pretty noticeable
pinging for lack of a better word. The 55g just felt all around harsher on the fangrz that when it was housed in plastic. So I went back to the drawing board and picked up a purple slider 45g, added a 2.5mm matteboard to sit under the steel plate (2.5mm is
juuuust enough to come in contact with both the plate and case), and cut very thin gasket material fibre "washers" to sit anywhere the plate came in contact with the aluminum.
The result is a nice muted / dampened feel when bottoming out and a lot less bright on the initial downstroke. I think if I could change one thing though I'd consider going even lighter domes since I've have gotten so used to 58g gateron blacks.
Maybe it's a good time to do a alu topre case that addresses these issues out of the box ;D
