Which Model F color scheme do you like the most?

I really like the look of black keys on the F myself, but I don't think Unicomp sells black modifier keys with a white font(on a different note I ordered the red font keyset from them). I'd have to harvest keycaps from an M13.

At first, it might look like the IBM original, but it is subtly different.

You might also want to take a look at using black alphas with lighter colored modifiers, and/or alternating colors on the F-key rows.

Otherwise, back to your three color schemes, I think my order of preference would be as follows:

C > A > B

You can't go wrong with a Model F. The sound and feel of the IBM buckling spring switches is so good, it almost doesn't matter what the board looks like.

It would work, although if it were within my means I'd really prefer printed. Unicomp would be wise to offer them.

since the legends wear off so quickly, unicomp has long since quit making pad printed keycaps.

None of my Model Ms have matching keycaps anymore. If anything, kids (and kid fingers) are good at pulling up buckling spring caps, after which the keycap will disappear into one of the toy boxes or be swapped somewhere else, and I have long since given up tracking them so not one of my keyboards has all the keycaps in the same color.

I'd like color scheme A best, except that I strongly dislike having the | and \ key the same color as the control character keys and the shift keys, instead of the same color as the other printable character keys.

Why have keys in different colors, if those colors don't mean something?

I like C, or A if the \| was white and the number numerics were white and with the alternating groups of 4 function keys.

Would also be nicer if mods were softer than harsh black but w/e...grey would be cool.  It's nice.  I'd do something with the north cluster as well.
