BK keycaps
« on: Mon, 03 September 2012, 12:14:24 »
hello every one

i have just bought keycaps for my Black widow from Ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/White-Cherry-MX-Laser-Etched-Keycaps-104-Set-Keyboard-Key-Caps-/110936940512?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item19d45b5fe0#ht_1657wt_1271

and now i find that the , spacebar alt , ctrl and the function key will not fit

where can i find ctrl, alt, and function keys from??

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Razer makes such low low quality products, most key comes off while typing or play games, they just pop off....

any one knows what size i should buy to fit the clt, SB and FN keys , and any example of the BQ with with keycaps??

thanks

Right now there is NO ONE at all who makes such a spacebar. The other keys do exist, but usually aren’t included in sets/are hard to come by. (You can order fitting 1unit keys, but WASD doesn’t offer 1.5 ones)

This might change though with further spread of iOne boards.

SP make 6units space. The Tg3/Deck BL82 use them. I actually am selling backlight set from that board here. Also can be found on Cherry 11900 and 1800model with 1x bottom row keys, Cherry is a good source for 1.5 modifiers as well. Going vintage Cherry is always my recommendation, though you only get the underglow effect since the keycaps are thick and totally opaque.

Your best bet would be to put the money from caps towards a better board first. :) The BWs are known for hit and miss build quality!

Sure? Looks like same + + + stem spacing to me... should be able to put spacebar over 5 single space alpha key switch and it will line up with the 2 on the ends and one in center. It's the same as Cherry 6 unit.

The cherry 1800 spacebar doesn’t fit on a blackwidow.

ya i think so too, but the BW has been good to me :S replaced the key-caps from my CM QRF , as it was MX balck and was really really bad for typing, i seriously hated it

the original keycaps of the BW kept pooping off although its only 2 weeks old so i replaced em.

im thinking of getting the Ducky 9008 G2 with Red MX Switches  now, are they any good??

any any one has a picture of the key-caps color ones of the BW?
