Wow, does no one know how eBay works? Ever heard of snipe bidding? You don't bid before the auction is about to end. That just drives the price up. Geez.

A snipe is a bid, just as surely as any other bid.

You just task a machine to do it for you at the last minute.

You know, you're right. If people are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for a grey plastic case, someone should be selling those cases! A killing is just waiting to be made.

it's not even so much about willing to pay.

more like need to fit in. GH has deemed the industrial SSK a "need to have" item, so new jacks are all over it. just look at clacks. 700 for a jack CC.

I think there's a lot of truth in this, but there are also collectors that really don't give a crap about that. Like HAL for example. He has multiple industrials, but he doesn't flaunt them. I'm sure he gets them for his own pleasure and nothing else.

oh, im not denying that. but people like HAL aren't purposely paying outrages prices because they HAVE to have it. i mean, who bids on ebay with a week before the auction ends? that's just plain stupid and reeks of "i need this to fit in"

The industrial is a truly beautiful color.

Not so sure about the black badge, it should have been metal.

I wasn't expecting people to unnecessarily bid the price up.

That's what happens every time something is posted here. It's normal.

If you really want someone to get a good deal, you have to wait until there are just a few hours left in an auction with no bids, then post it here so someone can snag it without competition.

I think someone (was it you naasfu?) put in a ridiculous bid early, so other people could keep bidding it up trying to find his bid amount, all the while making more money for the seller. Smart, right? I mean, the point is for the seller to get the most money possible, not for the buyer to get a bargain... Wait, what?

I think someone (was it you naasfu?) put in a ridiculous bid early, so other people could keep bidding it up trying to find his bid amount, all the while making more money for the seller. Smart, right? I mean, the point is for the seller to get the most money possible, not for the buyer to get a bargain... Wait, what?

I'm guessing this is worth around $700-800

As snoopy posted at Deskthority, the true value should only be around $400. It's just a different color case, which is admittedly more rare than a normal SSK.

But it was only worth $50 a couple days ago, when it was at the starting bid still. An item is "worth" what one person will pay for it and someone else will sell it for.

Soooo, who is planning on sniping. I might snipe it if anyone is interested and just sell it for list price. By list price I mean the price I pay.
