Help me pick my new Mechanical board, please
« on: Fri, 13 April 2018, 15:48:08 »
I've been using a Steelseries 6GV2 for past 2 years but recently two switches began to fail to register every time which is extremely bothering. I though it's time for an upgrade so I wanted to ask here if You could help me choose. A few guidelines of mine:

= budget: 150 USD

= preferred switches: Both Black and Brown are fine, either Cherry or Kailh

= hand size: normal sized male hands (I guess)

= what is the keyboard used for?: 90% gaming, 10% typing

= What kind of lighting?: I prefer one-color key lighting, Optimally blue light, RGB is fine too as I can just set it to a single color. Red lighting i'd rather like to avoid.

= Software - I don't do macros but if it's included I won't mind

= Design - I really like simplistic design and small frame of the 6GV2, it has grown on me and I'd really like something similar

= Size - I'd like a full-key keyboard, no tenkeyless please

I'd be grateful for any advice!

I'd prefer whole keyboard, not one of these split ones.

You want a Ducky One or Ducky One 2.

They have a fantastic feature set and are one of the best bargains out there.

I'm actually in the same boat (but I need another board like  hole I  my head lol), I was looking at either the Cooler Master Master keys Pro S (with my browns) or the Glorious PC Gaming Race TKL. My fight is I have two Cooler Master Quick Fire TK''s (one with blues and the other with browns). It's a $10 USD difference between the two. Love the hot swap option on the glorious so I can try different switches but Cooler Master has always been a great board in the past.  Any options would be appreciated.  I would prefer a TKL since I have a few TK's and a iKBC Poker I (Type C)
Sorry for slightly hijacking this thread btw

If you want a Ten Key but don't want the size, check out the Cooler Master Master keys Pro M (Quick Fire TK). It's just a tad larger Than a TKL without sacrificing the numpad
