So what do I need to get a working numpad?
Just the case, the PCB and some switches or are there other components I need to source?
By the way, I don't think it's neccessary to post the PayPal address in the comments. This could be done via PM!
will race case fit other 75%?
was thinking maybe kc84will race case fit other 75%?
No. The USB port position is different, if you are thinking about mx-mini.
You think you could get case like this that fits Poker/Poker2's?

no i can't. but i personally have an empty poker case around lol if you want that

Are you talking about a stock Poker case?
I'm trying to find a aluminum Poker case like the one that imsto was selling a while back (or something similar) that isn't low profile.
Just wanted to check since you mentioned that you could get Race cases.
I am also interested in the 75% case if it can fit Keycool 84
Wow.... tough choice between buying this now or waiting for the butterfly pad to be released.
Only way to get the full numpad is to buy the pcb and case from here and DIY right? Where do I get the other parts from like the controller, diodes and resistors etc? Will they be included? Cause switches, stabs, LEDs and keycaps are fine by me. Just the other parts of the PCB

It is a metal grey aluminium case
I think we need plate. It's easy to take out keycap on keypad.

This is just pcb and case, correct? No plate?

huh? i have a few PCB mount boards, you can very easily take off keycaps and you can service switches even easier than a plate with the notches cut out
and with the aluminum case it really wont need it because it will still be very solid. backlighting will actually be better

veryone makes plateless out to be this horrible thing, probably because they have only tried it where the case the PCB is in was very flexible like a G80-1800 or G80-1190,
I don't think so. Was you take out your switchs from keyboard by Keypuller when you change your keycap sets ?
Anyway, if we add plate, it's more better and more solid but not good feeling type than plateless .....

... using plate ...will mean increased difficulty to change switches and change layout if you intended to do so, for what would be a subtle increase in strength and rigidity for this size of number pad. Especially if the PCB is well supported.
Anyway, if we add plate, it's more better and more solid but not good feeling type than plateless .....
Seriously, for a PCB this small, the typing feeling doesn't change at all whether it's plateless or not.

Any deadline or MOQ for this?
Hmmm, nice looking number pad. That PCB looks amazingly similar to regack's GHpad design.

It looks like the PCB was designed so you could break off the bottom row and have a functional 5x4 numpad. Not sure how easy/safe it is to cut up a PCB, but a 5x4 would be great for people looking to compliment their 60% boards.

That's very cool and makes this very tempting for me. However, I'd then be on the hunt for a case. Anyone know of a 5x4 aluminum case?
regack put a ton of effort in designing the initial PCB, please give him due credit in the OP and anywhere else appropriate.
Thanks kinruan.

Shouldn't GH Pad follow GH60 naming convention? Rev A/B/C/D... :))
I found this website with pictures of the keypad on it. I can't read chinese (sadly) but it does appear to mention that 悬壶济世 guy.regack put a ton of effort in designing the initial PCB, please give him due credit in the OP and anywhere else appropriate.

I would like to change my order from 1 PCB to 2 PCBs.
Also, I would like to confirm that the PCBs will be coming as 4x6. I see the case only supports 4x5, but I want the extra piece on the bottom to still be attached so it would be 4x6.

The case looks to be a 4x6 to me. If you look at the mounting points in the case they match the 4x6 mounting points on the PCB and not the 4x5 ones. I think the case that it is shown next to is the race case which is also 6 keys high.

Will you guys be doing a GB for the GAC75 as well?
Is there an eta for the shipping on this? Took a quick scan through the posts and didn't see anything.
Has anyone been invoiced yet? I sent the appropriate information but I haven't received it yet!
Ah, okay. I was concerned that my PM didn't send after I noticed the title. :)Has anyone been invoiced yet? I sent the appropriate information but I haven't received it yet!
I have not been invoiced.
Is it possible to get a list of what stabs I should order from Ivans GB? Cheers!

For a traditional layout (with 2x Enter, +, and 0) you should get 3 "2.x PCB mount" stabilizers.
That said, the real answer is it depends on what you want to do. The PCB supports 1x keys for every row/column, so if you want to use 1x keys for every slot you don't need any stabilizers at all. And if decide you want to insert a custom made plate in there (not currently offered with this GB) you could also use plate mount stabilizers.

I think my order was missed.

Paid. I think kinruan invoiced shipping separately for his last GB as well.If that's the way he wants to do it, it's fine by me. Paid.

i don't know how much the shipping costs till the actual package is at the office and leaving the custom. so i have to do it seperatly

Is there an ETA to when these will arrive? Excited :D
Well since this is basically a GHpad you can check the original thread (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=38963.1050). I'll probably check myself later once I get my keypad assembled.
Odd did mine not ship yet? I did not receive anything
anybody have trouble getting these to work?mine is already programmed, works perfectly fine but right now i'm trying to get flip to detect my numpad, since it's already pre-flashed it doesn't show up as "unknown usb device" or w/e and until i install the driver, FLIP won't let me do anything. :\
i made firmware with the easyavr app and then flashed with flip as i have done with other keyboards like frosty flake and it essentially does not work even though it shows up on my device manager.
I don't really want to search through this whole thread. Was a hardware spec published?
If not, I might be able to figure it out if I was provided some high-res photos of both sides of the PCB before getting switches installed.

I think Mashby posted some pretty high res photos a couple of posts above yours here (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=59950.msg1462432#msg1462432). Also I was able to use regack's firmware (based on TMK) to program the board, so I'm assuming the information here (https://github.com/regack/4x6/tree/GHpad) is applicable.

Ah, even better. If there is a known-good TMK I can just take the pin assignments from that source. Good work

Flashed using FLIP.
You did specify the chip that it's using in FLIP right?Flashed using FLIP.
Now, mine came preprogrammed but I wanted to reprogram it, so ... compiled a .hex file from the linked github page; took a bit of doing as the LUFA support wasn't there I had to copy it to a full-TMK copy but anyway it compiled and I think it's a working layout EXCEPT...
When I press the reset button, the TEENSY loader doesn't see it. Okay, use FLIP ... it "could not open device" either. I'm on my work computer, I'll grant you, but still ... Device Manager (windows 7 _x64) shows an HID input device, then when I push reset and either wait a long time or tell the device manager to look for hardware changes, it shows instead under other devices ATm32U4DFU. But FLIP doesn't agree ... I can't program it.
What am I missing here?
You did specify the chip that it's using in FLIP right?
to use dfu programmer you must first press the button on the back of the pcb. then install the driver that either comes in the driver folder or with flip. What batch file should i use? And will it just take any .hex file in the folder?
then it will just work when you double click the batch file.
What batch file should i use? reflash-ghpad.bat And will it just take any .hex file in the folder? no... it will use ghpad.hex
edit: or ...
reflash.bat yourhexfilehere.hex
At the moment I am still pissed that this does not fit properly in the case with keycaps in 4x6 layout.I still have not hadde any issue with keycaps not fitting properly, maybe because i don't have any yet.
I have played with it for about the last hour. It still does not fit without rubbing.

Forgot to mention I tried messing with the pcb soldering switch angle slightly. I found it impossible to do without leaving a substantial gap between the switch and the pcb
Again for me it's still completely usable, the rubbing is so slight it's not adding enough resistance to really notice during normal use. But if domo is experiencing something unusable I find that a bit unacceptable.
apperently i have two extra PCB. Anyone wants it? Pm me!
anybody figure out the backlighting yet? like i said earlier im guessing there is some backlighting files for TMK but i really want to know, it is really lame to have it support backlighting, have the resistors soldered in, and not being able to use it.So, there are resistors but no LEDs, right? What value are the resistors -- it'll narrow down what color LEDs I could get for it.
The backlighting as I knew so far only 2 mode:
1. ON/OFF - 3 lvl of brightness
2. Breathing - 3 lvl of speed
What's the other led effects u guys got?
can you share where that is? thats what im asking, it has not been shared here on geekhack.
