Stupid quick PCB design

(1/3) > >>

Melvang:
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to design a super simple PCB for me.  Essentially, I want this pcb but tweaked for an RP2040 controller instead of a Teensy 2.0.  I have tried many times to learn KiCad but can never seem to get the work flow down for ****.

zegonix:
you linked to a post by someone (with the same handle as you) on a pcb manufacturers website. is this a product you want to sell? if so, it would be in your best interest to be transparent.

Melvang:
The link is a PCB that I had done years ago, that is my account on Oshpark.  Another GH member did the Kicad work for me, by the name of Moz if memory is correct. I am not looking to sell it, unless there is interest for a GB, but I doubt it. I do plan to make the design public on Oshpark.

alright. on the pictures i don't see too much, but from the description i assume, the pcb houses a usb-connector, a power converter and the mcu, whose gpios are just routed to the pins?
i could do this, but it will be just functional, not pretty or sure to work in any environment (i could not guarantee for esd safety, or emi specifications..)

I think I am going to give KiCad another go.  It has been probably at least 10 years since I tried KiCad.  Realisitically, I should just have to build a footprint for the through holes on the RP2040, then bring that into a pcb, set my drills for the breakout pads, and go from there, correct?  And I really don't need a schematic, I would think.
