Is this the same blue as Dots?
Pfiou…
My wallet just commited suicide.
Very nice :thumb:
Now i have to do comparison to check what is in overlapping in kit - you should offer a big - all in one symbols - kit for the people that want it all ;)
Can we get a Homing Kit for us non-QWERTY folks? KAM Superuser has a great one.
S can be used for gamers to orient to WASD quickly. But I'll admit I don't know what I is for.Can we get a Homing Kit for us non-QWERTY folks? KAM Superuser has a great one.
Seems to me that one has homing keys not used in any layout at all. Specifically I and S.

Oh man freaking awesome do we have confirmation it's going to be slick glossy PBT KAM (a la KAM Starry Night) and not matte PBT KAM (a la KAM Wraith)?

I plan to order samples for both finishes.
I initially thought about going for glossy finish tho since it'd look more classy and modern (IMO) :thumb:
Ergo kit has duplicate 1u PgUp/PgDn keys.Maybe swap one set for Home/End instead?
Just realizing you're using stroked up/down to represent Home/End. Which is a little odd, since Home/End is more of a left/right thing.
So given that, maybe swap out the redundant 1u PgUp/PgDn with Insert and Delete?
I totally missed the difference between raise/lower and home/end. Thanks!Ergo kit has duplicate 1u PgUp/PgDn keys.Maybe swap one set for Home/End instead?

Though shouldn't home/end really be left and right?

Then they'd look like 1u Tab and 1u Backspace :))

I don't think that'd be intuitive to be honest.

Really? I guess I don't consider Home/End an up/down thing since the actual operation that occurs with that keystroke is to push the cursor to the leftmost (start) or rightmost (end) character within the line.
One point of feedback I have;
The only 40% layouts that uses a 1.75u require two of them, not one (JD45/50, prime_L). Because of this, I recommend adding a second 1.75u spacebar to the 40s kit or removing the one. I realize there is another 1.75u spacebar offered in the spacebars kit, but that's an entire kit that would need to be purchased for the one spacebar. On a 40% no less.
Big fan of the custom font and dots! I hope to see an all dots kit offered!

I would actually recommend keeping a single 1.75u space and adding a 1.75u Lock key instead. This key needs to be added for Minivan, Dimple and Minila support anyway, and since this set uses the same color for alphas and mods, the 1.75u Lock key can be used as a second spacebar on the keyboards you listed.
I'm going to go through the kits and review them in more detail a bit later, but for now this is the feedback I have for the Nomad kit.
glossy please. this way when the pbt does get shinny it is shinny all over and doesn't look like ****.
I am really torn with this set and kam_superuser. This is going to be a tuff decision.
Will there be a Canadian vendor? Plenty of time to start planning that, I think.
Is base color the same with KAM Wraith?
Looks like another winner!
I thought I would join some others in requesting a small homing kit for the alt layout crowd:Show Image(https://i.postimg.cc/rqKrkcdH/Homing-Kit200910.png)
Also, adding non-homing X, V, and J would serve the same purpose as the additional B in the Spacebars kit.MoreX - for Dvorak
V - for Colemak DH, Colemak DHm, and Workman
J - for QGMLWY
B remains in the QWERTY location for Colemak, Norman, and QWPR.
Edit: saw others have already requested a homing kit.

+1. I don't own an Alice, so chafes me that I have a gazillion extra B keys sitting around while also being told "you use a weird layout (Colemak), which I'm not supporting" by many designers. I don't want to see even more useless keys added to cater to the Alice crowd (Sorry not sorry). Also, adding non-homing X, V, and J would serve the same purpose as the additional B in the Spacebars kit.

This trend worries me.
The argument for second B is for typists on Alice layouts who type "incorrect" and also don't know how to customize their layout.

I don't have TAB or ESC in R3, so I use a novelty for R3; Alice users that use non QWERTY layouts can use a novelty for their not-a-B key.

In sculpted sets it's one additional B for alice and a whole load of additional keys for colemak though
With non sculpted it's pretty easy though
Can you made alpha kit be more special? Like KAT Milkshake or enjoy pbt cool kids or maybe japanese.
No.

This set and the typeface you’ve custom designed for it are just beautiful. I can see me wanting to get almost all the various sets. Bravo!
I don’t know if it’s too late to incorporate into this release, but I’d love to see the range of gaming icons expanded upon, perhaps with additional thematic sets in future? I’m thinking a variety of different symbols representing different types of weapon (shield, axe, bow and arrow, dagger etc.) as well as different ‘sci-fi’ weapons, to make it possible to tailor a keyset to specific games.
Anyway, can’t wait to see this one released!

Same here. It is going straight onto my gherkin for a variety of tasks.
Please confirm slick KAM and not matte!!!
Any chance for debugging icons? Next, step in, step out, that sort of thing.Nice idea! I love that!

Is there any chance of text mods?
Sorry for the lack of updates, I'm currently waiting for the v1 samples :thumb:
I'm considering all the suggestions and will offer a massive update in the future!
I see a a few missing green icons for the creation set, may I suggest the brush, eraser, and lasso tool for them? they are the most common keys I use on Photoshop, clip studio paint and etc.
is there a google form to get notified when this will be live? :D
What about blank alphas and blank mods kits to highlight a little bit more the other keys ?
silly question: dots in "Addons" kit are from "GMK Dots" ... is it possible also add+1
- white (Alphas in GMK Dots) and
- light grey (Fn keycaps in GMK Dots) colors,
... another 2 columns of keycaps?
Oh yes please, add some programming stuff! I'd love to see this on a macropad!

Initially I was like: why? But that's actually not a bad idea.
I image icons for:
- debugging: run, break, step, next
- build, rebuild, execute, test
- (there must be more)
I wished this came in a more neutral color like black or dark grey.
Dark blue is so hard to match with keyboards and especially macropads... :(

still waiting for updates from the manufacturer.
At this point, I'm starting to also consider DSA.

Cool! Something for programmers ... and admins ;-)
This will be such a cool set to get... in the summer of 2022 ^-^ Definitely in!ooh, do you think it'll be ready so soon? Goody! :D

Fingers crossed the GB starts before I die.
What do you think about colab with RamaWorks and incl. their M6 to GB? They did a few times (GMK Dual shot 2, GMK Dandy, ...)
love thee colorways, fonts, novelties, all great.something like this pretty much has to be a uniform profile. Ok, the base kit could be KAT, but pretty as it is, the base kit is not what this is primarily about. It's about all the novelties for all the different programs and work flows. And everyone is going to use them differently. One person will put the Photoshop "brush" key on B, another will put it on the f row, another will put it on a macropad. Unless you make all the keys the same height, you're guaranteed to mess up the majority of people's conceptions for how to fit them in.
But if only it was KAT profile instead of KAM... Can't do well in flat profiles :-[
Awesome. Biip, did you get any samples with homing bars? That’s the only area of concern for me (the haloing on KAM Wraith a was a bit a disappointment).
Hey, I finally received the first batch of samples (featuring matte finish) and I'm actually super satisfied by the dye sub quality, the legends being clean and sharp.
Very curious to understand why continue to forge ahead with this project with Keyreative seeing all their mishaps, poor communication, poor qc, sending out partial order before designer approved, switching to double shot pbt without consulting with the main vendor previously, etc…

100% in for the novelties. Loveeeeee the themeeeee :-*agree! its super cute
No set for developers/admins? :-(
@biip DSA is fine w/ me!
I'd personally much prefer the initial KAM or a similar smooth profile, as I'm not fond of the "pebbly" texture of DSA. It's no skin off my teeth if DSA is available in addition to KAM or whatever else, but I'd really like a smooth profile.

DSA samples have been ordered.
I keep you posted :thumb:
So happy about the DSA :) Will they be from Signature Plastics, or some other manufacturer?
Not interested at all if it's DSA, so I'll wait and see...
The keycap selection in this set is very good indeed, but it can't cover everyone's needs, because everyone's needs are so varied. For example, as a heavy Photoshop user, I'm happy to see Photoshop-type keycaps in the "creation" kit, but there are still a bunch of Photoshop tools/shortcuts I use daily that aren't represented there. I'm sure most people would find similar gaps in their particular usage scenarios. If this set comes out in KAM, then we're pretty much stuck with those gaps, as KAM keysets are few and far between, and macropad-friendly ones even more so. But if the set comes out as DSA, it'll be a lot easier to supplement with existing options on the market. Sure, we'll have to accept some color differences between Playground and non-Playground keycaps, but at least the profile will be uniformly consistent and will still feel good to use.
I've found that my macro needs tend to evolve as my work and/or workflow evolves, and certain macro keys might only have been living in a particular spot for a few days or weeks ...
I've found that my macro needs tend to evolve as my work and/or workflow evolves, and certain macro keys might only have been living in a particular spot for a few days or weeks ...
Ah, that's interesting! Having some keycaps only for days at a time is completely alien to me :L
Still, I do think people who use a lot of macro keys end up with very specialised uses for them, and it becomes almost impossible to create a standalone set that works 100% for those users.
Yo, made an account just to talk about this set. Is it still in the works? Or has it been cancelled?

I have not been quite active there lately indeed 😅
I tend to post more updates on my Discord server (https://discord.com/invite/biipmk).
Latest update regarding this set being DSA samples ordered haha.
I keep you in touch!
