Hello all,

Welcome to round 4 of the cypher, an F-row less compact 1800 keyboard.

Key specs

6° typing angle
Top Mount
Sub 17mm height
lightweight (~1.25kg built)

Changes since previous runs:

Additional ESD protection methods on PCB
Internals modified to prevent screw in stabiliser ticking
feet changed from bumpons to flat wider rubber feet
minor internal changes to ease machining

Previous run PCBs/Plates will be compatible (excluding round 1 mini USB PCBs)

Pricing: $335
Date: 19th August - 9th September 2022 (end date TBC)
Format: Limited group buy (Overall limit is set way past expected sales)
Shipping: approx 8-10 months after buy close

Colours: Black, E-White, Burgundy, Forest Green, Pastel Purple (Colour images)
Plates: Polycarbonate, aluminium (colours as above), carbon fibre, FR4, ANSI or ISO
The board will ship with a hard case

cypher is one of my favorite keyboards i own

excited about the new colors. great choices.

glad to see carbon fiber plate gone. pc has been my favorite plate on my cypher (built with pc, brass, and cf). consider fr4 in true CK fashion, please!

Decided not this time - most people's feedback has been that CF and Alu are pretty similar in terms of feel (on this board) and thought that it would be more interesting to have the variety of colours also in the plate

I hope the additional ESD protections work this time. I fried one of my R3 pcb's and stopped using the board all-together after I shocked the replacement hard enough that it required an unplug and re-plug for it to work again...Was afraid that one was toast, too.

Absolutely gorgeous board and will definitely be trying to grab an R4 again for a work board.
