So if CM doesn't sell regular topre switches with Mx stems will you guys buy a cm topre board and switch out the switches to your HHKB if you guys can? Or your topre realforce?

If we can get some in a HHKB/Realforce we are going to see some sexy boards in the coming months.

gonna need to add 6x spacebar to tsangan kit!

If those MX/Topre hybrid stems end up being all they're cracked up to be, it'd be silly to keep buying expensive Topre sets at twice the cost of MX sets

Either way you can't go wrong :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I know exactly what you mean. But considering me using Windows based OS for work, I'm thinking that the Realforce would be a better fit for it than the HHKB. but.....the Realforce is too nice to incorporate any clacks or gasmask on it.

Agree - arrow keys and Pg Up/Dn were the dedicated keys I missed most when I used my HHKB under Windows.  Using HHKB on Mac is much better because most Ctrl sequences work properly on Mac e.g. Ctrl-A and Ctrl-E for line start/end (instead of Home/End keys).

Is the backplate orange?

Yeah, I wondered that for a second too, but then I remembered that HHKB doesn't have a plate lol

The case is the plate - theoretically you could selectively paint the case top.

Just got this for myself for Christmas! Loving every bit of this board. Debating to use this as my main work driver or my HHKB.

I am wondering where else can one get a RF 10AE these days? I know Bunny manage to get it off in one sale recently, I wish I could get my hands on one!

This is my Leopold fc660c topre tenkeyless mini keyboard, and this being the first topre keyboard I have used I just wanted to say it is nirvana for my fingers both typing and playing games(anything from FFXIV to BioShock Infinite to C.S. GO to LOL etc.) It is the ideal feeling while typing for me and it has helped me quite a bit as far as typing with all of my fingers and with increasing my wpm, my ability with touch typing, and it happens to be the most ergonomic key switch and keyboard that I have used. I currently do have some custom keycaps from a Realforce topre keyboard, they are red wasd and an escape key and I am waiting for a whole set of red caps with blank tops, so it does look a bit different now. I happen to like the red keycaps I have modded the Leo with, but everyone has their own preference.

I like the HHKB pro 2 as far as the compact design and the nice overall look that it is has. I wanted to know how it feels as far as supposedly the Realforce with the unifor weighting of 45g still feels different from the Leopold fc660c that I have with the same uniform weighting. I happened to get the Leopold for a few reasons such as desk space, I like the aesthetics of the keyboard, along with the fact that it was at a better price point. I actually could have gotten a realforce 87u with the variable weighting for about the same price from a seller and it was new. The main reason I did not was because as far as gaming a considerable amount I do not thing I would like the variable weighting in those situations. I believe now that it would be a great topre keyboard as far as for typing at least for my own preferences. Especially now that I type with all of my fingers and I know longer look down when I type. Now that I own the Leopold 660c I definitely believe that I will purchase one last keyboard to seal the deal as far as having one that I will use as my daily driver and then another for school possibly and when I travel between MA and CT. I think I would go with the 87u with variable weighting and or the 55g uniform weighting I have not decided as of yet. I have some Realforce red keycaps(blank) that should be in on this upcoming Monday. I could always use those on a Realforce for when I get one in the next few months.
