It's a shame that Alps didn't survive into the modern age of mechanical keyboards,.

And before anyone says anything, yes I know about Matias, have you looked at their offerings? They look like cheap toys (the new 60% is a start). There are a few others out there as well, but  there isn't anywhere close to the selection that we have for Cherry.

I never knew about Cherry Foam and Foil til now  :eek:
It's a pretty rare switch. I got lucky with that board, I got it for fairly cheap and it was basically NOS (it was a demo model, sold by an ex-Cherry merchant). Apart from one keycap missing it's absolutely spotless. There was also a version with a different mount IIRC.

Matias keyboards look very cheap but I like my kbp v80 with matias silent click and doubleshot abs caps, very tactile and quiet. Now building alps64 with matias click but can't find new pbt caps for it(just brought aek set, been hard to find in eu!).
