I did it to try to look like I had a cool esc key, which I don't. If any of you have any Zerg keys or anything cool like that to function as an esc key, hit me up :D

Shadovved was selling packs of 3 caps: 1 for each race. They were in the classifieds. You could check there to see if he's still selling them.

haha that is awesome

It's a special edition nubbinator homemade key cap.  Emphasis on the word "special".

I'm experimenting with ways of making key caps at home and trying to make something that will actually be usable and fairly easy to produce for the average person.  esoomenona got the prototype.  I hesitate to even call it an alpha since it's so "special".

Once I get a real job and can afford to buy more materials, I'm hoping to find a good casting and molding material that's not too tough to work with.  Once I figure that part out, I can work on making a cap that doesn't look like that and that anyone (hopefully) can do on their own.  That's why I'm documenting it and publishing how I'm doing it as I experiment.  I want it to be a more open source thing.

Awesome orange mod!  Haven't seen one of those before.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I have the same board but its a UK layout - can I convert it to USA for better access to keycaps?
Thanks,
Possible but a hell of a lot of work. http://deskthority.net/workshop-f7/iso-to-ansi-t155.html

You'd be better off just selling your board and buying an ANSI filco.

Reaper to the rescue (again) ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Nice yellow :)

Goes well with the orange.

That blue looks a bit darker than RGB sets around these days?
