Additional Infos
This is still an early IC, and I aim to keep the project and expectations as transparent as possible. If you have any questions, you can reach out to me on discord.

"How far along is the Project?"
I have ordered the PCB protoype today (11.12.2021) and have finished modeling the Case.

"When do you plan on showing a prototype?"
I aim to finish the prototype in January. This will be delayed further if I am not happy with the PCB thats on its way right now.

"When will the project move out of the IC stage?"
When I'm happy with the prototype, and I try to make it happen in 2022.

Any renders of the internals? You mention gasket mounting but there's nothing here showing how the mounting is done.

I was under the Impression nobody was really interested in seeing this, sorry.
The gasket mount works by clamping the plate between the tray and the topcover with poron dampeners.
I will post some renders on my discord if you are interested :)

Just post them here. It's a standard part of any IC, especially for a first time designer.

Looks sick, love the hot swap compatibility as I feel its not as common stock on 40%.

No ISO?
I like it. I always thought those half num rows are only for gamers but thinking about it you can use it for anything you want. And also there are some shortcuts that use numbers which are always difficult to do on a 40s.

Updated it just about now, I will add the casefoam to the render when I have a better Idea of wheter or not it is needed.

Dude, this is sick. My one gripe with all my ortho boards is having to have a custom layout for gaming purposes, this does away with that.

Maybe this adds too much complexity, but perhaps shipping this in a custom small form factor case would be the absolute icing on the cake? I'd happily pay a little more for the base price of the unit for that feature.

keeping a close look on this.  :thumb:
I'm thinking about using the extra switches for dedicated media buttons, as I keep forgetting where I mapped them when I switch boards
