Metric to imperial units conversion table
« on: Mon, 04 May 2020, 20:01:14 »
Had to recently calibrate a metric micrometer with a set of imperial gauge blocks, which works because the inch is defined to be 25,4mm.

I made these two tables that convert the most common gauge-block sizes into both imperial-inches and metric-millimetres respectively.

It was a bunch of work but I got nothing better to do, so I thought I’d share it with anybody here because I’ve not seen anything like it before.

Perhaps some of you might have a use for it.

First link is with the metric to imperial table sorted as one would find it in an actual gauge-block set, the second version is for printing. If you find errors let me know.

Please dont ask...

Gonna need chyros to post his version of this one.

That being said, this is potentially pretty useful stuff. It's something one would normally just do himself because it's not difficult, per se, but it would be annoying as hell.
