Want to Order 8 Topres for small office
« on: Sun, 31 July 2011, 12:45:43 »
Bruce, small office in the financial & accounting industry, needs to have a keypad and keys that are easy to read (white instead of black with dark grey lettering)

closest thing on keyboardco is the 105 model but can't find this model on topre's website http://www.topre.co.jp/products/comp/index.html : , what model is it based on and do you have it in white?

http://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard_details.asp?PRODUCT=790

What's the major differences between te 103, 105 and 108 models on topre's site?

Ordered from you guys a few times before, always a great service, pics of this model aren't great on your site

cheers,

The 105UK is variable weighted model, which means the pinky keys are somewhat lighter, thus it is easier to actuate them, and all the keys have gold lettering.
Keyboard Co doesn't have full-sized Topre keyboards in white.

The 105UK has ISO layout, which is the standard layout in the UK.
The 103 has ANSI layout, and the 108 has JIS layout which is the standard layout in Japan.

Rigs found some better pics of the 105UK black with the gold lettering -

actually it's not very dark at all - I'll talk to Helen tomorrow.

In case anyone is interested

Hi zappb
I've been on a little break. Did Helen help out OK?
The Gold Print should work well in the office, but let me know if I can help at all.
Thanks for the help RiGS.

Topres around the office. You will have happy staffers.
We're all using Filco, I was just too mean to dish out the Topre.

Bruce, I think you have a point with the Filco's - this is the kind of feedback i'm getting from the Topres (Which arrived this morning thanks a mill!)

"well i aint going to lie i got attached to the old keyboard we have been through alot but the new one makes a deadly typing sound so that trumps the old 1 :D
: thanks!!!!!!"

hehe a deadly typing sound...they don't even know RF or Topre and they also don't understand how they can cost so much. Maybe they are wasted on them?

The "old" keyboard she was attached to was a 15 euro lenovo one.

Haha!
You should keep us up to date on the reactions. In four weeks time maybe offer her the old Lenovo back and see what she says. I love the way she feels attached because they have 'been through a lot' sounds like a pair of old boots.
You're doing OK when your staff send you emails with smileys and the word thanks.

lol., Maybe if you break out the Topre's Bruce, Helen and Rob will give you the odd smiley and maybe even a wink now and again. (you probably don't want Rob to wink at you so he can keep the filco).
