It definitely would be cool if they let you swap out the base. And I agree, the alu looks better than I thought, or maybe the poly just didn't quite meet my expectations.

I finally got mine in today! & I cautiously opened the box hoping for a non-cracked poly-carb. Thankfully mine was immaculate. Everything was shipped sandwiched together, but not screwed, except the plate. Package foam was very tight though, which is great to see.

My only issue was the PCB; last 4 LEDs weren't working, & figured it was the 'reflow' issue.  I'm no soldering expert, but I was able to do it after a few attempts and actually felt a little click of the pin reflowing when I finally got it. Beginners shouldn't be worried.

now I'm just waiting to get stabilizers, (I guess I didn't order any?)

*edit: I got the brass plate. It's a matte powder finish, not mirror - in case anyone was wondering. Anodizing on both is rather gorgeous.

Looks sick.  My hopes are back!  Glad to hear that the EXENTs that are shipping out now are not having issues.

Got mine today! It will still be a bit before I can get things put together, but I opened it up and plugged things in to check the LEDs.

Here's a gallery showing the new packaging (it's great) and I also test-fit some Panda switches (that have holtites on them) into the board. Looks like they're perfect!

I didn't have stabs (I ordered 2 sets), but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ pretty happy with how the board looks (even before I have put it together) and happy to have it here.

More missing stabilizers. Kinda crazy how widespread that problem is. I hope everyone eventual gets the stabilizers they ordered or a partial refund. I can see them being ignored and forgotten about with the bigger issues of the polycarbonates and PCBs.

They've been finished and are out there somewhere, I thought they were meant to be with Juahenza and the boys already for a while now (I think this was either said or hinted at like 2 months ago) but according to Yuktsi's latest post it seems they're not, which probably means they're either still with Sherry (who put in the order and received it) or on the way to them from him.

Not to play devil's advocate again as I don't actually feel it is warranted this time around, however is there any chance something got lost in translation along the way and he interpreted the "you" as being collective rather than singular? As in maybe he felt Sherry having them on hand after manufacturing and shipping from GMK was through was inclusive of their team of responsible people rather than having them on site. Likely grasping at straws but still feel like he/they wouldn't lie about something that can so easily be contradicted by others involved. Maybe I give people too much credit, wouldn't be the first time, probably won't be the last.

That said, what I don't really understand is why Sherry didn't just ship them over 3 months ago when he received them - I assume everyone knew they'd need them so they could actually ship stuff to their customers, unless there were/are problems with transactions (eg. Sherry not having been paid for shipping yet or something) I find it odd that nothing has happened for several months when shipping stuff is literally what they do on a daily basis. Again, just conjecture but it all seems very odd.

Either way, sad to see such small things get in the way in such a meaningful manner; be nice to get all this wrapped up now that the aluminium bottoms are finally culminating.

That what we were told, that's why we've been saying that we gonna ship the premium kit since 2-3 months ago. Then again Sherry is part of us. I don't know what to say.

edit: It's not nice to just call someone a liar without knowing the full story. Juahenza and I do not owe Sherry any payment for the premium kit to be shipped over. No pointing fingers, we are working on the issues.
