Cherry black color keycaps from models with L like 3000LAMUS. There also used to be POM KBC jellies in single color, but they are still pastel tones or white. I haven't seen them in quite a long time though so may be difficult to find them.

Also the Das II has a full black POM set, which is basically a G80-3000 set.

i have two POM sets that are black with white legends. they are quite prized. i love the feel of the plastic.

i got one alpha set from SP's site that are great. my full set came with a g80-8113 that cost me 20 bucks on ebay. the caps are great for 1 million plus keystrokes on them. seriously look new. i dont know how.

i have been singing the praises on POM on this site for a while. and no one knows more than Ivan (who pointed me to that 8113 i bought). thanks again ivan.

thought i would help pass it on:

found this for real cheap. not sure if POM though. the full model tells us i bet, i just dont read cherry catalog sorry.

hm, sounds like POM sets aren't really sold separately and straight from factory?

Hmm, well I like rainbows and unicorns.

Not a big fan of vomit, though.

But I loves me some POM keycaps too.

If there were tasteful jelly pom sets... I would be enamored in their glory

How are rainbow sets not uni vom? They're the very definition of it. I think clowncar is the term more akin to covering your board in random keys from different sets, unicorn vomit is like, a broader definition man.

I also don't like rainbow sets. There's a certain ironic chaos in clowncar boards, but the rainbow caps just look icky imo.

Hmm.  Maybe this is an idea for a GB?  I guess not everybody loves the pastel colors of the rainbow jellies.  SP should be able to make some single color POM keycaps.  I wonder what colors they can do?  Probably a solid set would work best, like blue or purple.

gosh I wish to not rely so much on SP.  Their key profile is nice but I think they cut corners in the wrong places with their products...  no cross beams in DS keys for instance :(

I'm unloading most of my SP sets because cherry and even some OEMs just feel better to type on after a while.

Yes, I have no love for SP either.  But they are relatively easy at this point to use for GB's.  Also they made some pretty thick POM sets for Cherry.  As for years, I am guessing it was 2008 thru 2011?  I have a set of SP's POM alpha keys, and they are not cheaply made or shoddy at all.  Maybe their quality has gone down considerably recently, I don't know.  But they did make some excellent POM keycaps at one time.  The ones I'm referring to are black POM with white laser in-filled letters.

Really?  I had no idea.  I thought SP made those lasered POM sets for Cherry?  SP is just a reseller?  Well, I like SP even less now.

Yes, Cherry are the ones who made those POM sets SP is selling. Though I have no idea why they have them in the first place.

EDIT: I wonder why they aren't complete.

SP got a bunch of G81, then customized them for some customer with doubleshots or whatever and shipped them off, but kept the unwanted original caps for resale... is my thinking.

POM looks like it will become extinct as several keyboard makers in Asia have been transitioning to PBT.  It would be a shame if the reasoning is because the POM tooling is EOL.

I know this keycap material isn't for everybody but it hasn't been given a chance with a wider audience.  I've begged and pleaded with Imsto, qtan, Boilermaker, Originative, ShakeR - basically anyone who has connections inside Asia who can bring some stateside.

well everyone get on SP's website and get those POM alphas before there arent any left. i got my set and i love it, and the price is very reasonable.

for me the modifiers dont have to be POM. i rarely capitalize so i dont use the mods as much as i should.
