Binge here. Wifu is working on some stuff outside. I am very excited to be making some efforts to bring photochromic colors into my most popular designs. I need a goal, a project to motivate me, after my most recent slump of life hitting my face with a shovel. HWS needs this too. We've been like a ghost town recently, and that's not cool. My creatures and creations aren't doing anything with their lives, and certainly aren't making it into the hearts and minds of the great people out there who would have them. The keys I am offering will be the last I do this year and for the foreseeable future in photochromic pigments.

A couple details you must know,
- Hungrkeys will be thrown into the mix
- There is the potential for a new key design
- Domestic buyers will be receiving additional art with their order
- We will be shipping out two lengthy rounds, round 1 and round 2. Round 1 = July 31-August 1st payments. Round 2 = Sept 25th-Early October. Progress will be shared publicly and often.
IMPORTANT
If you received a synthulhu and are not happy with the alignment which I so carelessly forgot to check when making the master I can either,
A) provide a full refund.
B) send you another cast keycap as a replacement.
Please PM me if you are affected with a picture of your synthulhu if you care to receive a refund or exchange.
I will be discontinuing the OG keythulhu mold for the time being until I can figure out how to get the key properly centered. I apologize for the inconvenience and issues this error on my part has caused. I will focus to make this better and take further steps to set aside time to testing our master stems before making molds.

I'm curious about the lifespan of the photochromic pigments used in these keys. I'm assuming they should be stable for at least a couple of years, but will they degrade significantly faster if exposed to sunlight on a daily basis? Regular window glass is not very effective at blocking UV radiation. Maybe covering the keyboard with a sheet of UV-filtering acrylic when not in use would reduce the rate of pigment degradation. As a nice side effect it would also make a great dust protector.

"UV" LEDs are only colored to appear UV afaik.

What I mean is they don't put out much, if any, actual UV radiation despite producing light in the UV band (blacklight). I'm interested in the answer to your question as well. Is the pigment reactive to "blacklight" or actual UV radiation?

Our most recent mold, the Otterophile, has been met with an unprecedented demand. As such I have decided to re-open the ordering for Photochromic Phun with the intention of making double the Otterophile molds in process to the number of standard molds.
This means that people who have already joined during phase 1 will have an increased chance at an Otterophile and people who were unable to join the original sale will be able to jump in. This pushes our total time of completion back to the first week in Dec, BUT for anyone who has already joined we are still trying to make our original deadline of Sept 30th. To be honest this isn't looking entirely realistic, but I will do my absolute best to see as many packages going out as I can. We are over 3/4 complete and are awaiting on the promised art to arrive from the print-shop.

It was brought to my attention that a fellow hacker is making unauthorized copies of artisan keys. I really don't care what use it is for. I have refunded ALL of this person's purchases from the photochromic sale.
Please do not buy from me again. Help the 2nd hand market and get chummy with all of the other career middle men.

Oh lawd. What is the policy on multiple entries? (sorry if this has already been answered)Our most recent mold, the Otterophile, has been met with an unprecedented demand. As such I have decided to re-open the ordering for Photochromic Phun with the intention of making double the Otterophile molds in process to the number of standard molds.
This means that people who have already joined during phase 1 will have an increased chance at an Otterophile and people who were unable to join the original sale will be able to jump in. I think the blanks are going to be great. Maybe people feel let down because we haven't seen as many blanks in the teaser pics posted? I don't know. I think I saw a few in that bright yellow pic. well, it's always best to just ignore the whiners... the "EULA" were more than clear, so who cares... they're all well sought after artisans so you'll be able to trade them in for a different one you want with ease

Sun broke through the clouds for a minute and I rushed outside. Three different photochromatic colors in one cap, quad shot keycap in total. This is the most impressive keycap I've ever held in my hands. Thanks for the amazing cap Binge!

They're UV LED's. I'm thinking about replacing one of the neon green ones on my ducky shine with a UV one to bring out the photochromatic features of my cap when it comes eventually. My planck has mostly UV purple leds in it and they don't have any effect on my photochromatic keys. Or the aluminum case as far as I can tell.
If there's a risk that I'm not aware of though i'll likely swap em out. They're sip socketed.

Jerky is random for CONUS simply because of the cost. 1 1/2 lbs is about $20-40 in cost between the beers and meat.
Next sale has the option to purchase. We got a vac sealer too :D

It's more than possible there was an issue with your entry into the form. There are a number of folks who paid for R1 without ever filling out the form until R2. There's going to be a cleanup session where I make sure every payment has been handled.
This is the problem with doing fulfillment using google forms and paypal 1 button checkouts. Unless everything lines up perfectly it is less than perfect to fulfil.

While I would have been happy with just about anything in this sale, I got my favorite sculpt and one of my favorite colorways! A concord crystal otter! He looks like a little polar bear.
Unfortunately it's overcast and late here so I can't get it to transition right now, but I think it looks awesome with the shine-through part in the meantime.
