OK, that is really cool. Did you have to do a lot of welding or was it easier than that?
No welding at all, just bolts. I used a drill press to keep the holes even.

Who knew 4-square box covers were nearly VESA compatible. Really nice work.
Were those pipes in pre-threaded lengths?
They were the right size, but I had to tap the holes myself. And yes, the pipes were pre-threaded at those lengths. Most hardware stores (HD, Lowes, etc.) will cut and thread the pipe for you for free.

Wow I actually wanna make one of these now... It looks more solid than ones you can buy too!
It definitely is. And I think it looks cleaner too. My real reason for doing this was I wanted something that wouldn't take up desk space with a base abs I didn't like how deep the VESA mounts were. I was trying to keep everything as far back as possible. Also, this was much cheaper, about $60.

Nice setup there, I'd definitely consider something like this, also how do you stretch the wallpaper across all screens?
Kinda depends which OS you're on. But find a picture that has the correct resolution (ex. 3840 x 1080 for dual monitors) and set it to either Fit or one of the other options in the Windows personalization menu.
