While I myself am not particularly excited about spacebar legends in general, the fact that this is being done, and being done well, is pretty cool.

Why would you want to do that?

This clearly illustrates how space bars are supposed to be :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Nothing sir. It must be a taste that you have to be born into methinks.

It has an unnatural amount of protein with no fat or sugar. It looks like black Vaseline. And no matter how many Aussies I ask none of them can tell me exactly what "fermented yeast extract" is.

The orange looks very similar to skidata. The two buys may clash, competing for some of the buyers. Even if they run on different dates, skidata may be offered next month, according with some recent comments by the OP.

No worries...  :)

TL;DR - this is basically a better quality nostalgia set which bunny has already run. Skidata supports more layouts like iso etc.

It is a little tricky when there are similar sets running, but these are both GH colors, so hopefully that keeps people interested in at least one.

Yeah, hopefully, both sets will get their own share of interested fellows, as both have their own merits for it.

in JTK's round 1, we had the option of purchasing a modifer kit that was purple on white, to make the entire board have a uniform look.

Will that option be available again for these colorways?

yep, he did say that in the middle of a post on page 2 when replying about JTK/Ski data questions:

now what may make this situation slightly worse, is much like the last jtk gb, we will also be offering reverse mods, so you can have a full orange and black set

In for one or two sets aswell! :)

Maybe its just me, but a set of orange on white alphas in true asiimov fashion would be really awesome imo!

Also how about changing up one of the custom legends (like the anchor) to match the set themes more?
(f.e. aperture science or asiimov style logo for the orange on black xD)

I know its far fetched,  just my two cents...

Great work Bunny and JTK!

Any chance of a Classic Beige set?

I mean... the group buy is for the two sets you see

I meant in the future... obviously  :p

wait a week, i can get pretty close, not exactly, but in the ballpark

keep an eye on the store going live again

Does this mean a Beige set is in the works?

All in all this has been one of the most informative threads.  I was beyond confused before but now I can't wait to see new sets get launched on the new website.  The site looks awesome and though I do more thread reading to keep up with the news (more than I actually post) I'm now all caught up and eager to see a JTK launch again.  The spacebars look awesome too BTW.  2016 looks like its gonna damage a lot of wallets.  Guess I'll just have to check into therapy here now.  Any idea which wing is open for patients?

I think it was basically confirmed earlier in the thread that the special edition retail-only set that JTK did for CTRL ALT is going to be Beige. Bunny seemed to think it should be up about the same time the new store goes up, so it should be up soon.

Although I wouldn't buy the set because I don't like the aesthetic I love those spacebars. Maybe in a future drop consider a multitude of different designs, like an artisan type thing, I'd jump on that

Should be announced on this forum in the GB section as well as https://ctrlalt.io/buys  :thumb:

Is it confirmed CB?  The last thing I remember seeing was that it was "in the ballpark".  Could mean something like Olivetti, Granite, or Wyse. Maybe IBM Model M? (close to CB, but a little different)  Any of those would be cool in my book.
