The option with no keys on the left side is my choice regardless of stagger or not.

I feel like the keyboard is too non symmetrical, if you could add 1 pillar of macros on the left side(staggered) to make the length of the left side and right the same, it would look much nicer imo.

I agree, thank you for the input, which one do you guys think is better?

Option 1

Option 2

For the stagger i personally thinks it makes the layout looks messy.. I thinks keeping it straight makes it cleaner

Personally, I like 1 the most.

I prefer the original design, but if I had to pick one or the other...

Option 2. Maybe use the blank space under the left-side column for a logo?

I just saw LZ ergo IC, they have a keyboard with a staggered right function key. I think for Maja it's better to keep the original design.

Not liking both options, the original layout is still the best so far.

I prefer staggered function keys on the right, but vertically aligned is OK as well.

Either way, I'm still going to buy it.

Having a second B for ergonomic keyboards is a good feature.

Consider USB-C.

What about a second x for Dvorak users 😅

not sure how many people would go with this suggestion.... but how about we make the whole board actually symmetrical

as in the right backspace, enter, etc all the same width as the left side  XD

Hi, I Finally have time to start working on this keyboard again, here the new render. any feedback? I see many people find the name to hard to pronounce, should we change it or just make it simpler by just calling it "MAJA"

Spec :
- 6061 Aluminum
- Hotswap PCB with RGB Each key
- Thick removable aluminum plate (4.5-5 mm)
- USB type c

The plate is by default thick, but i made it removable and changeable just in case someone want to use flex plate.

Interest Check:

https://goo.gl/forms/4dgDrvRbbdFx2S0H3

Timeline:
- Finish the design in August
- Submit to factory for proto in September

Wil there be the option for a Polycarbonate Case at an additional cost like most boards on KBDFans? A few boards now are evening running opaque / black Polycarbonate (Leaf 60 + Think6.5) which i think looks AMAZING. Please Please Please can we try and make this an option. i would happily pay big big $$$$ to get a black / opaque polycarbonate Majaphait!

Except that is layered acrylic/POM and sandwich mount lol
There's been a lot of Alice-like boards popping up, can even get PCB from project keyboard and lasercut files that he has publicly available.

Any Updates On This Project?

I would be interested if there were options for case and plate materials like Polycarbonate or Brass.

Can you confirm if this will be considered or if it's going to be Aluminium only?

When is something i cant answer right now, there are things that needed to be discus with kbdfans and factory whether they can handle and manufacture the design or not.
