Based off of one of my all time favorite boards, the Leopold FC660C, the Sakura-660 introduces a new take on the classic form factor. With the weight logo inspired my favorite flower, the cherry blossom, the board has been dubbed the Sakura-660. This keyboard will run exclusively with proto[Typist] at a limit of 45 boards made, with 3 colors offered (see further details to see the list of colors), at 15 boards per colorway. With case machining done by the wonderful Salvun, I plan to provide a unique board.

9/1/2020 - Prototypes have now finished going through the CNC process and are now at anodizer. Artisan collaborations are in the works, and update regarding the upcoming artisan releases with the keyboard will be out soon, as well as pictures of physical samples. Alps support has been removed from the PCB.
9/18/2020 - Prototypes are now going through anodization process. Waiting on 1 final confirmation to announce the artisan collaborations. Original Sakura-660 flower logo has been replaced by a new logo made by OneCreativeMind. Salvun Keycap will be updated with new logo soon.
10/27/2020 - Artisan collaborations announced! More information about further raffles will be shared later!

Interesting. Bezels a bit wider. Why did you choose cooper for the plate? It comes with PVD to prevent oxidation?I am personally a fan of stiffer plates, so I decided to go with copper. It will more than likely be clear coated to maintain the color of the copper, without it oxidizing.

Yeah, definitely interested in a sound test at some point.As of right now the only sound test that exists is in the rev 1 prototype. Internals are the same by the most part though.

I'm interested in the unusual plate design. It's top mount, but instead of "tabs" you have a long strip with screw holes in it. And you have a lot of cuts that look like they're designed to increase the flexibility of the plate. I assume you've done some testing already on this, so I'd be interested to hear about the purpose and effect of these design choices instead of speculating myself.Because I currently have the revision 1 board, with the plate itself being nearly identical, I can vouch for it. As a brass plate, it feels no-where near as stiff as your typical metal plates, and still offers that nice sound that brass produces. The flex cuts definitely allow the board to have a nicer typing experience than other mounting styles like gasket.
Also I'm sure at least a few buyers would appreciate an aluminum plate option.

I am rather interested, I assume the copper will be coated since copper patinas so fast to turning poo brown.The copper will indeed be coated. Although I personally always encourage a chemical patina to get a beautiful and unique color on your weight :)

Why is that nice rose color of the prototype no option in the IC form? :(The rev 1 was more of a trial. There were few problems with the rose gold coloring though. That does not mean that rose gold is knocked off though. The colors are very much subject to change, so you will likely see a few more colors swapped in.
