No they are regular oem topre profile.

The arrow keys are top row profile on the donor board so they are just higher than normal due to row differences.

I do think the VDS caps seem to have a little more scoop feel to them though.

Did you use a special type of Krylon? I heard spray painting can make the silders get really rough.

If you are careful you can cover the slider housings with tape and such to prevent paint from getting into them.

Loaned it to my friend the day after I got it. He loved the feeling and the silencing but didn't like the lack of arrow keys, so it has come home. Was hoping to have a topre friend but I guess it'll have to wait.

Oh well... one HHKB for me!



Edit: I could have sworn my post count was over 20 and now it's just over 10 :/

I think it's less that Novatouch sliders are bad and more that 1. Novatouching is expensive and 2. stock HHKB caps feel really, really good...
