Demik is using the correct avatar again

+1

He had that avatar when i joined GH, and anything else just doesn't seem like the real demik.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

NHS Death Panel didn't sentence me.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Just getting back into D&D, first time DMing, first group that expressed interest in using a grid and minis, and this site pops up on facebook as a "suggested post".  I think in the entire time I have been on facebook, this is the first one I have intentionally clicked on with legitimate interest.

Edit:  adding pic of what I came up with.  My character is a Drow Rogue wielding rapier in main hand and a short sword in off hand.

Yeah, and on top of I need to get some dice.  Got mine dug out, and out of 8 or 9 sets, only one has both d10's  but all the ones that are missing are the single digit, all the tens digit d10s are there.  We have a set of 10 matching single digit d10s, so we are still decent there.  But I gotta get a good set.  Would love to pick up some of those old school precision dice, but they haven't been in production for over 10 years now, and a standard 7 die set goes for around 50 on ebay.

At first I thought it was funny that the steel ones were much cheaper than the brass, then I read up on the link for their materials.  It is a very involved, slow process.  Plus printing in steel is very problematic from what I recall.

Dexter's Lab gave me both my DJ/Producer name and a name for my basement studio. My emcee friends would refer to me as ambiDEXTERous in songs. Happy times.

I was raised on Thundercats, GI Joe, and Inspector Gaget when I was real young and then Darkwing Duck, Tale Spin, and X-Men in grade school.

It's all been downhill since Darkwing Duck.  :(

SpongeBob literally teaches you everything you need to know about life. He's even on my keychain. Shoutouts to Sifo and Halverson for that hookup <3.

Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers, Ren and Stimpy, Beavis and Butthead as a youth.

In high school it was all about Adult Swim. Tim and Eric, Super Jail, Perfect Hair Forever, Space Ghost, Squidbillies, etc.
