[IC]Kyūbi Keyboard Kit / Color Render Updated
« on: Fri, 01 December 2023, 03:40:15 »
Mod Edit: OP posted GB links within this IC post, which have since been removed. The remainder of the listing will stay up for posterity.

Kyūbi Keyboard Kits

Hello! I'm Aregs from NLandkeys.
We look forward to seeing your suggestions for Kyūbi!

The kit includes:
One Tented Alice-like Keyboard
One 75% Keyboard
One Numpad
5 Unique Switches
For only $239!

The tented Alice keyboard and 500 switches will also be sold together for $219.
Numpad and 75% will not be sold separately.

Switches can be purchased individually, but not in the 500pcs bundle in order to preserve the kit price.

Each keyboard can be configured with its own color.

Layered Weight Design
Nowadays, many budget keyboard backs tend to lack exciting designs, often appearing dull. We believe that design should not be compromised for affordability. As shown below, we have incorporated a layered treatment into the body and tail of the nine-tailed fox, allowing for a very unique effect. The process of achieving this design is notably complex; during field testing, we discovered that creating such a pattern using CNC technology takes much more machine time. Despite this, we have successfully maintained a very low price!

Why are the prices so low?

1. We own an excellent processing factory called Krytex, who manufactured Molly60 previously.

2. Initially, we aimed to use Die casting techniques to reduce costs. However, Die casting parts could not be anodized to our standards. To address the issue, we redesigned the parts. Specifically, we split the "tent-shaped" section at the bottom of Alice, allowing the bottom pieces distinct sets of aluminum extrusion dies. This ensures high quality anodization. To facilitate high quality production, we have already invested $30,000 in tooling costs.

Process Interpretations

keyboard addition process is divided into four kinds

1.Full CNC

2.Aluminum extrusion die + finishing CNC

3.die casting, die casting products can not be anodized, because the product contains silicon this element

4.forging, forging can be anodized, and is not affected, but the forging mold is very expensive

Kyubi Alice's top case is forged, And the other parts are aluminum extrusion + finishing CNC(75% and Pad all are extrusion + finishing CNC), so it can also be called Full CNC

Cycle 7 also are aluminum extrusion + finishing CNC, so the quality is very good, this is not a die-cast cheap keyboard

3. We have procured a substantial quantity of materials to accommodate the production demands expected from the scale of orders. This proactive approach ensures our ability to fulfill a large number of orders efficiently.

I emphasize the aforementioned points to convey that we will not compromise on quality to achieve a low price. As a testament to our commitment to quality, we will be dispatching 25 prototypes for review. Stay tuned for the results!

The second batch of samples is almost done and will be sent out for reviews around 12/10.

Are you saying that the GB price includes 2 boards, 1 numpad & switches for $229-229?

What GBs have you completed previously?

Also, please remove the blocker above the right arrow on the 75%.

If according to Wuque Studio's definition of "Fully CNC", "CNC after casting also counts as fully CNC", yes they can still claim the boards are CNC'd. Gotta wait and see if anodized color ways are available.

I don't mean to be picky but you did say "right now", and on https://nlandkeys.com/account/orders/ it says "Awaiting Shipping" on my molly60 order.

Did you mean something more like "we begun shipping orders, we expect all orders to be shipped within a week" or something like that?

Yes! If you follow the discord update you will know that we said today that we will start shipping in three days because it is already in packaging.

When you next try to run an exit scam, please consider being a little more subtle. Don't feed us too many lies that we start to think it's too good to be true.

There is no way that we'd actually receive three keyboards and 500 switches for 250USD. One or two boards and 100/200 switches may be slightly more believable for your next scam.

If, in the unlikely event, this is not a scam then I wish you luck with this but won't be participating in this nor any future Aregs project. Very sus.

I think it might be a bit far to straight up accuse them of scamming.

But in terms of this particular GB I would not feel comfortable joining unless they had completed (fully) the rest of the GBs they have run

They're offering two keyboards, a numpad, and 500-count switches for $250. To me, that absolutely feels like an exit scam.

Hey! Totally get why you might think bundling our stuff also they are super cheap seems fishy. But If you really engaged in this industry for several years, and understand enough of the production supply chain you will know that in fact this is not a mirage, for example, you go to the supermarket to buy a bundle sold together in the family package? For example, a whole set of household products, such as laundry detergent, detergent, paper towels, etc. bundled together to the original total price of 60-70% of the price to sell, although the original for the supermarket alone to sell a laundry detergent profit and selling the entire family set of profits earned is almost the same, but because the overall order quantity increased, the scale effect appeared, and this time the supermarket's overall cost reduction, the profit is increased, the keyboard is the same. The same applies to keyboards.
Hope that clears things up a bit!

If this is real and not an exit scam (I do believe this could be real), I suggest you post this IC when you have prototype, sound tests, etc. because your whole post looks extremely sussy.
You're proposing something that looks too good to be true. How do people believe it when there're only renders? Even the switches are renders!

I agree. But to be fair his molly60 post also looked suspicious. I bit the bullet because it was so damn cheap, and if that board is delivered within the next few weeks and it performs well for its price then I will definitely consider joining this.

I recommend you guys wait with launching this until at least mid january because then people will have had time to evaluate the molly60, supposing it is delivered before 2024.

Bundles of 500pcs switches are not supported for individual purchase, but are supported for individual purchase, this is to ensure that the manufacturer's selling price is standard

What's this supposed to mean

Hi, for the alice+75+numpad+switches bundle, you said 5 unique switches. Do you mean like literally 5 unique switches for test, or you mean 5x100 unique switches like the alice+500 switches bundle.
