Greetings
« on: Fri, 28 September 2012, 11:26:44 »
My real name is Jon. I've aleays loved clicky keyboards and computer hardware since I was little. Looking forward to learning and adapting new things. Currently I have a nice combo with Corsiar K60 and the M90 mouse. They seem to be working. Since I got he K60 my girl is craving something with Cherry MX blue switches, maybe clear might be a better choice.

I love Wally.  He is my idol.  The way he evades work inspires me to do that same.  Wait, that might be a bad thing, wouldn't it?   :-X

Welcome to Geekhack!

Dilbert is supposedly fairly representative of life in a large company, but some of the cartoons are just so exactly like my place of work.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

No browns. They are Cherry MX Reds, which from what I've heard are typically the best for gaming. It's got 20 key rollover and antighosting. Not that I use that many keys whilst gaming. But If your already going for it, it's like an added bonus.
