Number Keypads
« on: Fri, 22 July 2011, 05:08:39 »
Hello all. Recently picked up a tenkeyless Filco keyboard and loving it. Though there's instances where I miss the number keypad and especially the media hotkeys, mainly the volume button. Anyone of some number keypads that have volume switch/buttons integrated with them? Does not need to be mechanical.

Anyone? Did i post in the wrong section? If so move me. Well, I think one option for me is maybe the Logitech G13 and macro some of the keys to volume adjust? Suggestions?

I know they exist, kind of like this, it may not have the media functions you are looking for, but it's a start. I think you're just going to have to do some research (read: Googling) on this one.

Why don\'t you give Colemak a try? You\'ll like it, I promise.*

There are some programmable keypads out there. I know the Cherry Keypad G84-4700 is one, but is ML switch. I would imagine there are MX or maybe Alps ones too, but I don't know model numbers to look for.
Here is one Genovation with MX for cheap if you can use serial.

Good god, I just took a look on eBay, and there are absolute BOATLOADS of mechanical keypads for $20 or much less. Mainly ALPS, some Cherries, lots of strange stuff.
