strange font style

and don't you think the black legend on a black background is very unreadable?

- The font is not much different than the ones used by beamspring keyboards and I used IBM boards as a reference (with the exception of Katakana which is based on the typeface used by Olivetti for their Lettera 32)

- It should be similar to how Topre dyesubs are.

How about adding a R3 1u key like a generic "FN" or "CTRL" or "caps", ... to the Forties kit? Wondering what I should use for a Planck/Preonic there on the left. "tab" and "esc" are on R1 and R2 for me.

Will think about it. Worst case, you could get a  Novelties kit.

Just to add in about the yellow color of the mods, I like it better as this new "softer" "creamy" yellow. Intense yellow is nice and all but this new yellow is not so in your face and blends in really well with the rest of the set. It just makes the set more uniform and refined. I feel like having a more intense yellow will contrast off on its own a bit and make it more look like a toy especially with the new profile.

I actually highly recommend that you stick with these but ultimately it is your decision as most people who already are interested in it would get it either way.

Anyways great job and looking forward to a set  :thumb:

Is it at all possible to have the split bars be convex, or make them R5 flat profile?  I know the molds probably don't exist, but having R4 split bars is the only thing I don't like about my /dev/tty set.

AFAIK MAC layout continues the F-Row beyond F12 across PRINT/LOCK/PAUSE and such, so a F13 F14 and F15 would make sense in the MAC kit I think? Would also give the opportunity to buy a F13 key for DK layout/Jane CE since you've already supported Alice double B. Although the Novelties Kit already supplies plenty of options for such a key.

I’m a Mac user, and if I ever decide to go bigger than 65%, I will definitely get the Novelties kit with those 1u media keycaps.
No Mac user would ever want to see F13 or 14 on their keyboards.
Hell, just seeing F1 to 12 was annoying enough.  That Novelties kit is a godsend.

Yes, exactly! This is the reason I want to buy this set _and_ a keyboard with F-row for it. This kind of novelties is much much more useful than the usual affair of pretty icons. Thanks Zambumon!

- UK and International Kit (Danish, Finnish, German, Norwegian, Portuguese BR, and Spanish)

Also, Swedish. Finland uses the Swedish layout.

Someone might not know this and not check the renders and not realize it supports Swedish so I'm just pointing it out :)

I was so looking forward to this, but where are the Alt Gr keys? At least put them in the ISO (or International) kit :( I mean for us, that's more important than having an Alt key.

Alt Gr keys are for accessing tertiary legends. Since the International kit only has secondary, there's no need for them.

First part is correct. But why are you telling me? I couldn't have typed my comment without knowing that.

I'm not sure I understand you. Not having all the legends on the cap doesn't mean it isn't really there if you actually press the key. You know this, come on man... Sorry if you were joking or something. You could have only one legend on the caps and still need the AltGr key.

To make @ I have to press AltGr+2. The fact that there isn't an @ symbol on the 2 key is not relevant.

This bothers me, because what key am I supposed to put where AltGr is supposed to be? Alt is wrong. I'd prefer a blank key or something that said something completely different, because Alt is so close but yet wrong so that makes it just annoying. The lack of an AltGr key has killed so many sets for me and I was really, really looking forward to this :(

So having an 'incorrect' 2 key is okay, but having an 'incorrect' Alt key is not? I don't understand how the lack of tertiary legend is totally fine but lack of Gr is a deal breaker.

The 2 key isn't incorrect, it's just doesn't show all the available legends. A stylistic choice. Alt is not a replacement for Alt Gr however. They are two completely different things and since Alt is just two letters away from Alt Gr it becomes annoying. I might as well put the Control key where Alt Gr is supposed to be then, because that's also wrong, but more obviously so, so you kind of "own it".

There's a legitimate reason not to put ALL the legends on the caps (it looks cleaner), there is NO legitimate reason to leave out an essential key.

Your reasoning is kind of like, well all the legends are capitals. So why would you need Shift?

Haha, buddy you trippin! You can‘t argue with

„I'm not sure I understand you. Not having all the legends on the cap doesn't mean it isn't really there if you actually press the key. You know this, come on man...“

and then desperately need / want an Alt Gr.. It still is Alt Gr, you know this, come man..!

By this logic, all the keycaps should contain the sub-legends that are associated to the Alt Gr key, too....which I'm sure you are aware, they don't. If you have to look down at the Alt Gr key to know what key you're hitting, how are you going to know what key the alt is supposed to be tied to?

Your argument is dumb, and your analogy is even more dumb.

As Oblotzky has already answered, I'm not going to add an Alt Gr key, as there aren't any tertiary legends, which I do not plan to add them.

This is a rather funny story because I did include this keycap with GMK Nautilus and I was rightly called out for this inconsistency.

I don't think that's the point he was making. He's saying Alt and Alt Gr end up having the same legends, yet they do different things.

And you completely missed my point, too. It makes no difference if the key is marked Alt or Alt gr. If you need to look at the cap to know what it's supposed to do, wouldn't you need to look at the rest of the caps to know what they're doing, too?

Awesome! Sharp legends and vivid yellow would be sublime!  :thumb:

Could you please hold this GB off until Fall 2019? With SA Laser going on now and GMK Oblivion coming up soon, everyone's wallet is really taking a hit.

MT3 Serika has me real excited btw. The Colevrak kit is *amazing* and I'm dead-set on obtaining this for both ortho, ergo, and standard row-stagger boards. The longer I have to save for this, the more I'll buy. :)

Lol, only naming 2 keysets when there's been what...10 highly desirable keysets in the last month?

There's no guarantee that Fall's going to be any less busy as far as keysets go.

If you have to look down at the Alt Gr key to know what key you're hitting, how are you going to know what key the alt is supposed to be tied to?

I don't think that's the point he was making. He's saying Alt and Alt Gr end up having the same legends, yet they do different things.

And you completely missed my point, too. It makes no difference if the key is marked Alt or Alt gr. If you need to look at the cap to know what it's supposed to do, wouldn't you need to look at the rest of the caps to know what they're doing, too?

What does that have to do with anything? By that logic you could have Ctrl on Alt and Backspace on Tab. It's about the aesthetic. No, I don't need to look at the caps. But unless it's a kit filled with novelties I'd like my A key to say A and not X.

You guys... are you really trying that hard to miss my point? Alt is just two letters away from Alt Gr yet is a completely different key - so putting Alt on Alt Gr just feels wrong. It's so close but yet wildly incorrect. I'd much prefer a blank key or like "blah". Yeah, I'm a bit anal about it - so what... As I said, something completely different would have been better.

Like lol what, "there are no tertiary legends".. ok... how does that change anything? That doesn't magically turn the Alt Gr key into Alt. You still.. ah I give up.

Really the attitude here... now I know... Was expecting like "oh I didn't think about that" instead of this faux elitist condescending attitude. Really surprised by Oblotzky :(

Looking forward to both of those. The yellows gonna make it break it for me. I don't want to crack open any of my spare GMK Serikas if I don't have to ;).

OK. You are saying that Oblotzky's response was given with a "faux elitist condescending attitude" when he actually answered the question about Alt Gr.

Oblotzky. One of the chillest guy that I have met in the hobby.

Anyways, Alt Gr is meant to indicate that you are accessing the tertiary symbols layer on your keycaps. There's no point to include it if you don't offer those legends.

It was my preference, as the designer of the set not to include those tertiary legends on the international kit as well as Alt Gr for consistency reasons.

This is the (sad and perpetually broke) life of a keyboard enthusiast.
