Title: $10 USED white-on-black Cherry Double Shot Group Buy [payment due May 10th]

This GB is for $10 USED Cherry white-on-black Double Shot's from MY7000 HPBUS-2 keyboards
These are USED keyboards, so some keys may be shiny, but I will attempt to select the least used keyboards.


Here is a sample picture of the keys you are getting here for just $10. This was one of the sets from the last time I ran a GB for these keys

By combining a white-on-purple set with a $10 set from here, this would get someone new to mechanical keyboards an almost complete set of Cherry DS for a very reasonable price
-60% boards such as poker or GH60 would only be missing a spacebar
-TKL boards such as a FILCO would only be missing the spacebar and then have the Delete/End/PgDn in the wrong profile
-Full size boards would be missing the spacebar and 2x sized numpad 0 and have the Delete/End/PgDn in the wrong profile

These keys will be shipped together with the white-on-purple or cmyk ones from the GMK group buy
-If you are CONUS this will not increase your shipping fee from the GMK group buy
-If you are outside CONUS, your shipping fee from the GMK group buy will increase due to the additional keys and USPS rate increases. This would add about 5oz of weight to your shipping


This GB will close on March 30th April 20th at the same time as the GMK GB.

Note to the interested parties: These keycaps are pretty much NEVER this cheap! Cherry doubleshots are pretty much the best ABS keycaps you can get for MX Cherry keyboards. Definitely get in on this if you're looking for the best value for your buck.

thanks flynn, this actually did push me over the edge for ordering from the GMK gb. So there's at least one new order.

I don't really like the purple in the mock-ups, but I am willing to wait until I see it in person before deciding for sure. Never tried cherry ds before, so I am pumped about that.

They're nice for incoming GH60's and what not... oh, and for the QazPad™. Yup that's trademarked. SMALLFRY TRADEMARKED THE QAZPAD!
Also, on a serious note... the keys with the most shine are the F8, Esc (which shouldn't be a problem with the GMK buy), and the down arrow. If I had to rate each key in terms of shine, 1 to 10 (1 being a mirror) they would be as follows: Esc 1, F8: 3 or 4, Down arrow: 6 or 7. Also, the numberpad is very shiny, but I don't use it, so it doesn't bother me.

Yeah I didn't like the purple in the mockups either, but the real life pictures in the GB thread convinced me. They look a lot lighter in the real photos.

Yeah, the pic of the arrow keys looks better. So if I wanted to finish this out with the proper + and 0 keys for the numpad, anybody got a good source for those? Would like the ability to put this on a full size...

MY-8000 is best bet for missing/incompatible keys. Too bad there is not a similar source for price on the 8000, as it would be a better match for most people.

Modifiers would all be covered by the purple or cmyk sets. Only the things like correct profile/size nav, numpad, and space are left unaddressed for now.

If you've never typed on a cherry set this is the one to get in on. Granted, they're used (but at the same time, really cheap), but there a great way to discover how epic cherry DS caps are when compared to SP or OEM caps

what do you mean 99%? The MY7000 is the exact same layout as a 1863/1865/1867 so it 100% fits

yea I might have gotten a little too excited about this saving the GMK buy, as that doesn't look to be the case anymore. It was going to be an ass ton of work just pulling all the caps and shipping to Ivan to deal with shipping individually. So i'll have to decide if its worth it by itself  :-\

Yes I get tired of this. Why are people butthurt that there is some extra keycap. These much bigger set of keys are still cheaper than sherryton price on RGB set with only 6 key, yet same people don't complain that and would buy those. Makes no sense to me.

I'm going to have to agree with IvanIvanovich on this also. I'm not really one to complain much but from all the anger that was going on in the sherryton thread you'd think members would be a little more eager to help the community out to start a relationship with GMK.

Re that ISO backslash - that's one of the "gaps" that doesn't quite look right on a UK ISO board, yes.
Because it's not the only "gap", this set will be providing nicer F/nav for me instead to go with GB mods.
My current keys are almost brand new WoB so not too bad.
Bottom line - even if not everyone's ideal layout, I'm not surprised these are selling well. Just work out the price per cap...

I should finally have the final count of boards from the e-recycle place tomorrow and then i'll go pick them up early next week. Once I have the final count from them, I will start invoicing.

Also, as i've said before we've run over how many boards they have, so some of the orders have already be reduced. Ivan and I have a common master spreadsheet now we are using together so shipping and things are in sync

likely from SP's web page would be cheapest way to get one. originally we were thinking about sneaking 1 into these 2 GB's, but i'm not getting as good of a deal on these anymore so its just trying to break even at this point

we ended up with way to many ordered and basically removed any orders where quantity of MY7000's was greater than quantity of purple+cmyk sets.
I am keeping track of all the ones that got reduced and if there are extra's they will get first change to add them back. I have a number of boards reserved as a "buffer" in case some are missing caps or they send me some lasered boards by mistake as I don't want to end up with less again after invoicing is all done. I'd bet though that you'll get your 2nd set, just won't be confirmed tonight ;)

Let me talk to Ivan and see what he says about adding them onto peoples order then. Its not so much of a problem I don't think for US orders, but for the non-US it will increase the price he charged for shipping by quite a bit as the cable weighs more than the caps do

All invoices are now finally sent!!!

Regarding the cables, we will pull the good condition ones out this Sunday as well and see how many there are. I don't remember seeing very many that were still in their cable plastic when loading them this morning

Definitely understand the weird oncall schedule of an IT guy - I imagine it is like being a doctor except people take it for granted and ABUSE IT.

Okay so I these sets contain some keys that most people will toss.  (6x offcenter space, 1x mods, offcenter caps, short right shift)  I have use for them on my custom board, which was made for these caps.  Is anyone interested in offloading the caps they aren't going to use?  I assume most will be replaced by the purple mods from Ivan and never looked at again.

I just wanted to say that you guys are rock stars on getting the payments made so quickly. Already 84% of the keycap sets have been paid for :D

For the cables nothing will happen until after Sunday when I can get a count of how many there are in ok condition

Update:

- Only 3 remaining unpaid orders :)
- Anyone who was unpaid on the GMK buy and Ivan dropped, was also dropped here
- Almost all of the sets have been pulled, I just need to finish up a few yet on my own. BIG BIG thanks to the MN guys who helped out here!!!
- For people wanting the cables, You should PM The_Ed as he will sell you brand NEW ones for $2 each plus shipping, which is a much better deal than these very used ones.

I just found a pile of my PS/2 cables stuffed in a drawer in the basement by my mom... At least I know where they are now. And there are still a lot more boards that I have yet to harvest the cables from.

I'm with 'Qaz here, I need some of the mods that some of you may throw away/in a bag. I can use them also, if you are not going to use them. :)

I have a set of these from the same board that I bought on ebay. I will trade all the unused keys I have for at least 3 cherry doubleshot alphabetical keys of any color except black, white, beige/tan, and not W, L, M.

The ones I have are

Escape, Caps Lock, 2 Shifts, 2 Ctrls, 2 Alts, Spacebar, Enter, Backspace, Option, Numpad 0, Numpad Enter, F1, F5, F11, Letters W, L, M, plus whatever keys get traded.
