Bépo layout on ANSI board ?
« on: Thu, 22 March 2012, 09:35:12 »
Hello,

I would like to buy a TLK Otaku leopold, but I cant seem to find it in ISO layout. So i am now considering buying an ANSI board. The thing is, while I am actually typing a lot on Azerty (french layout that is) and qwerty, im also learning Bépo (some alternative dvorak layout for french and coding).

So I was wondering, what the hell would happen if I try using Bépo  on an ANSI board ?
What would my options be in regards of remapping ? (Some chars are really useless for me on the bépo layout, I dont do that much typing, mostly developping).

Should I maybe just go for an ISO ?

ANSI boards only have 87/104 keys, so you'll have to do without the key next to the left shift. I worked around this by creating a custom azerty layout in MSKLC.
Other than that, I personally only have a bit of difficulty adjusting to the enter key.

Yeah, on less key, but a bigger left shift, smaller enter and a key between enter and backspace
