The title says it all. I'm new here so don't bash me if I did anything wrong

that pcb uses plate-mounted cherry-style stabilizers.

Reference data: I own one :)

Can I just take them out and replace them with Costars? I’m not really in favor of Cherry-like stabs to begin with anyways

heh, unfortunately, it's not that easy (ask me how I know!)

I tried to do this on a board and didn't realize that the plate needs to support costar stabs (the cutouts are a different size),

I was making this super cool instructional video on how to swap cherry for costar stabs, and got halfway through before I realized it wouldn't work.  Then had to spend a couple of hours reinstalling the cherry stabs and fixing the keyboard.  :))

Maybe I should post that video, so others don't make the same mistake

Actually, make it so that others can know why that can’t be done. One’s sacrifice is another one’s treasure, in this case there will be many :))

the stock stabilizers on my gk64 are not good. it's best to replace them entirely with better options.
