What is the different marking in the upper 910 blocker spot on the gray board? It's clearly a 910 as well, but did the SE have a different logo cut up there?

Looks like it says VKC, so I assume it's the Vietnam Keyboard Community edition.

Right, that shade of gray and the green plate are specially made for the Vietname Keyboard Community.

No wonder this board feel really solid. Turn out the 910 was 65% with the weight of TKL. The TKL in above pict is Lynn Dolphin v2 which is rather heavy for a kustom TKL

I still don't think the plate material makes that much difference in feel.  Plate vs. no plate, yes probably. But material, not much.  I know i'm in the minority here, but I believe (again, not the majority opinion here) the vibrations from the switches resonate through the PCB and and then wherever it attaches to the case.  The biggest difference is the case material and sound dampening between the case and the place where it contacts the PCB.

This is my experience with 10 or 11 builds.

That's what happens when you mostly build tray mounted keyboards, because the PCB does not directly contact the case anywhere in a top mounted build like this where plate material plays a much bigger role.
Here the plate is attached to the case and leaves the PCB floating under it, different plate materials offer different amounts of flex in this case and the plate is doing most of the work of holding things in place. In a tray mounted build you always have the PCB directly on mounts on a solid block of whatever material you chose, providing a lot less flex around those mounting points and having the PCB do most of the work.

Any tips for reducing the pinging sound on this board? I'm a heavy-handed typist and the pinging is quite noticeable. I've considered adding a thin foam pad under the PCB, but that would block all the lighting underneath.

Do you have a deskmat? And lubing can be pretty helpful in reducing ping.

Try removing the diffuser and add the PE foam that comes with the board underneath.

Has anyone had any RGB issues with their boards?  I have two PCBs and have only half the RGBs lighting up on one and only 3 on the other.  Neither one is lighting up the "910" front RGB.  Any ideas?  I find it odd that both PCBs are having similar issues.  I reflashed the firmware/keymap and then did a reconnect with the RGB Settings under Bootmapper and nothing helped.  I also tried adjusting the number of LEDs on Bootmapper and nada.  Any help would be appreciated!!

Assuming the 910 has 12 RGB LEDs, if RGB #7 isn’t working properly, RGB #8 to #12 won’t light up either. This is because they’re chained together in series.

In this example, RGB #7 probably has dry solder joints on a couple of its legs. The fix is simple. You’ll simply need to reflow the solder by touching the dry joints with the tip of your iron (do it for all four legs just for the sake of thoroughness). Make sure the iron is sufficiently hot that you don’t need to hold it there for more than a couple of seconds. You may also add extra solder to each of the four legs if it makes you feel better, but don’t overdo it.

This ought to wake the LED up and complete circulation to the rest of the chain.

Yeah I tried this already and it did work on one PCB, but not the other. Then I attempted to replace the bad SMD (which I have done a few times prior) and it lifted a pad (eek).  At least I have one fully working PCB tho.  Hopefully Yuktsi and I can work something out... Thank you for your help!

Can we get a status of the units that are still delayed?
It's been dead for almost a month now, looking for a silver lining...

Can I please get an estimate when the remaining 20% will be finished?

Along with the TGR-910CE? Any time soon?
