Anyone selling black cherry DS's these days?
« on: Sat, 18 May 2013, 15:00:56 »
I've noticed some new cherry DS's being created these days. I love the OG black cherry caps with white legends. I had a new set that I got rid of been regretting it. Anyone know of any sources? I'm talking new with the wonderful texture they have.

I don't think I've ever seen new Cherry DoubleShots in White on Black. I know Sherry has some new Cherry stuff but I think its only Grey and White color scheme? Although....he does have a Dolch set coming. Grey on Black. Maybe you'll like that. Check out originativeco.com.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sherry brings out white on black. He's been releasing a lot of awesome GMK stuff recently and I don't think he plans to stop.

You could start a Classifieds thread for new WoB. Some people do have new sets stashed away. They're not brand new like GMK, but new old stock removed from BNIB boards.

Yes thanks guys. That was how I got my set from a NIB older board. I don't have the money right now so a classified will come later. Just curious if I was missing anything out there.
Thank you.

You should be on the lookout for some old, worn, shiny ones. Those feel the best! :D

Either monitor the classifieds or buy this from ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/350572017058?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

I don't remember exactly but  I heard he's accepted lower offers. $35 may be?

White on black coming soon.  Winkeyless, winkey, 1.75x right shift, tenkeypad, and other keys will come with the item.

Est: Right after Dolch (Maybe they both might arrive at the sametime?)

Yes sir the leo with clears. If I remember correctly you got a very good deal on it. I tend to impulse buy and sell things.

I think that is the board I bought in the past. Obviously requires a moogle but the texture was oh so nice.

Great news. I'll hold off easier to just get the complete set. Will the price be the same as others or possibly lower? I ask because the black cherry caps usually sell for less here than the white ones.

I'm going to try to sell it for less.  The reason why people think it sells less is because the keys that people want are not included.  If you looked at the listing from calavera, the whole set comes out to be $60 shipped.  I plan to offer most of the keys plus the winkey (and center stemmed caps lock), winkeyless, whole numberpad (for modern boards), both correct space bars (the one in the picture is a 6x space bar I believe), 2.75x right shift, etc.

Looking around $85+ for this set.

That's all I needed to know.  Sherryton you are spoiling us BIG TIME.

In fact with Dolch and White on Blacks coming, all the keyboards can look authentic now  8) .

Yes very true and sourcing a moogle can be a pain for sure. Getting them all at once is very nice.

You should probably use the 'Q&A' thread in the Originative vendor sub-forum.

Probably :D

The only difference is the Enter and the 2 Shift keys?

It seems simple enough to add.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with all that ISO and ANSI stuff yet... All I want is my German layout  :-X :D
Well, I'll give your stuff a look for sure, although I think I'd rather buy and collect keyboards than keycaps. Easier to get, more old treasures and no 20$ shipping from the USA or something for a couple of caps ;)
