Also, any ability to buy Ratrap’s still? I think they’re a super neat idea and would be interested!

This looks sick!

Estimate on price? I think I may be in regardless. It’s such a unique look!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We are now working on the first sample. It will be completed by the end of March, and I will be able to release the real thing, not the renderer.
I will update the approximate price information after the sample work.
Please wait a little longer until April.
Thanks.

The plan of Ratrap is still valid. However, some problems were found during sample production.
I am trying to fix the problem.

Thank you for remembering Ratrap.

This board has great symmetry. Too many boards try and cram so much in that balanced looks like this are difficult. Hope it remains close to the original idea as possible.

The most important thing when I design this keyboard is balance. I think the balance is symmetrical.

Do you want a full alu version? I am making polycarbonate on the bottom to maximize the light effect.
I can make a full alu keyboard at any time.
The design has already been completed and I am processing the sample now, so wait for the big update in April.

Full Alu + PC Half Plate possible?
I'l still in anyways.
The top row really helps with my OCD. :p :p :p

Okay. I will make a full aluminum case for the second sample production.
However, the PC Plate option is not yet definite.

There is still plenty of time for summer to come.
Please wait.

thank you.

definitely interested! I will go for the pc case with pc plate if possible. Just my opinion but having PC plate as an option would be good since pc plate with the pc body will make a 100% pc board :)

I’m the exact opposite. I love thin side bezels. I feel the whole point of a compact layout is to save desk size and space. I look at boards like the grid600 and think, that’s almost as big as a TKL without the functionality. If I’m giving up functionality, a decreased footprint better follow. Although I’m not so much concerned about top and bottom bezels as most have plenty of desk space in that direction.

Top and bottom bezels could be reduced to match the side ones if conserving space is a concern, and it would still look symmetrical:

For me, the thin bezel is the selling point of this board; this board looks unique because of that, and its a clean design; even bezels would take away from the distinction, and make it similar to any ordinary board. The picture above (in my opinion) takes away all the appeal for me - making it look like an average board.

Absolutely in for this, as long as split backspace is available on the WKL (which looks possible if I am not mistaken)
Hoping PC stays as an option for the GB too.

Any idea of pricing?

I want to hear a variety of opinions and apply it to the UD keyboard. I think that process is IC. I still have time until summer so I want to hear as many opinions as possible. Thank you for your good feedback.

Okay
The schedule for the price or production schedule will be updated to the sample production is completed.

Reducing the top and bottom bezel can cause problems during processing.
A bezel of appropriate thickness is required to use the mating M3 screw.

1. Beautiful design.
2. Can the bottom PC be frosted/opaque, so the LEDs are nicely diffused? Perhaps move the LEDs away from the edges?
3. Programmable I assume?
4. Hotswap hopefully?
5. Estimated price?

I’m interested.

I really like this board, I do have a few thoughts though.

1) Different plate options so those who want fixed plate options
2) Tighter connector hole
3) What is the connector btw? I may have missed it but I didn't see anywhere (hopefully USB C)

Also, I love the slim sides, it gives it a really unique and sleek look imo. Making the bezels the same size would be a mistake imo.

I really like the design. Certainly considering this in polycarbonate if the price is right.

1. Do you plan to keep this MX only, or would you be willing to go down the road of alps compatibility?
2. Can you comment on the mounting type? from the renders it looks like sandwich, I just want to be sure.
3. What do you plan on offering for plate material?

Will it be a first come first serve situation?
Or will there be no limit on production?
