Why is that funny? I would consider a virgin kit to be considerably more desirable than somebody else's project.

On the other hand, a person without manual skills would - and should - pay handsomely for the extra labor and materials involved.

My impression is that for someone who wanted to build a project himself, a virgin kit would be worth at least $100 more than someone else's discard, while for someone incapable of building a keyboard, a finished product would be worth at least $100 more than the base kit.

It has taken me a lot of years to understand that people, in general, love to "buy things" but they hate to "pay for labor" and that is a travesty.

I have a Apple Adjustable M1242 and a Dell AT101W. The Apple does not have a cable or the accompanying mouse. There's some yellowing on the board but the key caps are in great condition. The Dell has yellowing on both the key caps and the board. I have no idea what either of these are worth, so helps appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, I applied a short retr0bright session to the case and the ABS space bar. They came out perfect! I do not have the box.

Some googling leads me to believe that these might go for about $80 in good condition. Does that sounds about right?

There is always a chance but yeah I would think you would have to pay $150+ maybe more for someone to sell theirs. Most people are only interested in trading though considering the v1 has been discontinued.

Hey all. Wondering what my two boards are worth.

First is a Pok3r w/ Clears (Blue Esc), a purple aluminum plate, iQunix Lambo case, and SIP sockets. I'd probably sell it with the stock PBT caps. It doesn't have much use, and it's been kept in really good condition.

Second is a Smart 68 I bought a while ago from Taobao. You can find more info on it from the IC thread, but basically, it's a 65% board with the option to hot-swap switches and LEDs built in, as well as a Fn button that doesn't take up a key. Would probably sell as just the aluminum case, CF plate, and PCB. I know the listed price on the IC was $300 a pop, but these things are pretty rare, from what I can tell. Don't know if that affects the price. Pictures of it can be found here.
