Currently available keycap storage options

I'm looking for some pointers to the currently available (without a TaoBao agent or looking for months on second hand market) keycap storage cases / boxes--the kind for full sets, not small size boxes for artisans.

Over time I've used a 3-tiered large storage box I've made myself, a cardboard storage box (I think from KeyPop) with foam inserts--no longer available, and some GMK trays that came with their sets--not that great but okay.  I'd like to get something uniform for all of my sets that I can stack.

Looking at options from vendors I can remember:

EliteKeyboards has a box that's listed but is completely out of stock with no ETA for restocking

Originative has $12 clear plastic cases that look a bit like GMK trays--not sure if more sturdy and better than GMK trays

KeyPop has smaller size nice acrylic cases that are best reserved for 60% and smaller sets or artisans/novelty caps

What else is available?  I'd like something more like GMK cases but sturdier and easier to open without keycaps flying out of their slots.

I did search for keywords before making this thread and found some of those threads.  Most of those threads are old with storage options discussed in them no longer being available for sale (hence the first line of my OP) or else being smaller in size, good for artisan collection (not what I had in mind).  One useful result for full keycap sets that I've missed was this aliexpress option:

I believe JTK have started making their own trays, but I haven't seen any publicly available so far.

Personally, I'd go with GMK trays, but they aren't very cost effective if you have a lot of caps.

That's beautiful!  Exactly what I had in mind, but expensive!  I'm surprised there aren't more nice storage boxes made like this (would be nice if the price were $10 lower too).

Interesting about JTK trays.  Originative trays are basically GMK trays, right?

I am also very interested in this topic and had done some of the same research to end up nowhere. KPRepublic's case is a amazing but too pricey and more for displaying your caps in your wife's China cabinet in the dining room than storing them.

I think the EliteKeyboard's  option is the perfect balance in terms of price, space taken with the stacking and still allowing you to quickly glance at them.

Anyone knows of attempts to run a group buy or a new run with them? Last I read they said they didn't sell much but maybe with some visibility something can be worked out. If this HuB Kickstarter campaing happens a ton of people will be receiving multiple sets each in bags that they would want to keep organized.

I'm about 80% sure you can buy JTK trays from their taobao store, but I'd have to find it again. I could also just run a GB for them, but MOQ is high.

Interesting about JTK trays.  Originative trays are basically GMK trays, right?

Yes, they just buy a lot direct from them.

They look good--compact and transparent to show contents without opening.

Depending on what the price per tray at MoQ, could be worth running a group buy for them (maybe a vendor would be interested in running one?)

What’s the price per tray?  Maybe I should chat with some vendors about running a GB for these (unless someone else wants to).  While 600 is a high amount, it looks like full sized sets of GMK type need 2 trays, and I’d probably want like 10 trays or more for 5 sets and random stuff.  Those trays might go quickly.

Probably would end up around $18-20 for two.

Hrm, there are probably people around here who've gotten JTK sets in trays and have SA caps.  Hopefully those people can chime in.  Maybe zFrontier reps would know, as they sell both SA/MaxKeys SA caps and JTK caps [with trays].

Tiger box looks like an option, thanks for that. 1upkeyboards have a 65key acryllic case as well, still seems a dearth of options.

Happy that you like it. It's available also as a no - brand option for much cheaper. I don't have recent links though
