I've been a software developer since 1989. I retired my business in 2015 but still do coding and writing. I don't wish to advance my preferences as considered gospel, but I consider the keyboard as my primary input hardware. I've preferred trackballs over mice for over 20 years. My preferred configuration has for that time has been: Trackball on one side(usually the left, even tho' I'm right-dominant), compact (80% or 60%) keyboard in the middle and (optionally) a stand-along keypad on the other side.
When it comes to layout, my favorite is that of the Happy Hacking Lite 2, but I have also used a number of rubber-dome mini keyboards as well as a qisan 60% blue switch and a Z-88 blue switch 80%. Blue switches are a preference for me at this time.
Now, I feel that I should investigate the utility of bluetooth.
I'm interested in the Royal Kludge RK61 61. It's a steal by price but I have a question, which is posted at
