What new in box keyboards do you/have you owned?
« on: Mon, 02 April 2018, 14:54:29 »
I've had a few but the one that sticks out most in my mind is the Japanese Apple Extended Keyboard II I had for awhile. Never did open it and sold it for around $100 before keyboards became as big as they are now.

I proxy anything including keyboards (キーボード / 鍵盤), from both Japan (日本) and China (中國). For more information, you may visit my dedicated webpage here: https://www.keyboards.es/proxying.html

BTC 5140
Copam K-450
Dell AT101W white 1x and black 1x
IBM PCJr v1
Monterey K110
Focus FP-21
Focus FK-9000
Focus FK-9200
Tai-Hao FAME
TC7063
Zenith Z-150 AT
Zenith SWA-4300
And 30 or so new keyboards but they don't really count.

Looking at it, it's not as much as I'd hoped, although I do have a much of NOS ones without a box and used ones with a box too.
Check my keyboard video reviews:

I once had a Focus FK-2001 with blue Alps. I bought it brand new in the box around 1989 to go with the 80286 system I built. I sold it in 2016.

Sounds beautiful! What a nice keyboard that must have been. The Italian Car of keyboards.

I got a BTC 5130 (or whatever the Spanish ISO version is) brand new in box of ebay for $25 awhile back. BTC Domes are awesome.

I remember those keyboards from when they first came out. Makes me feel nostalgic!

Leaving aside stuff that is currently in production - an SSK, SIIG Minitouch, Dell AT101W, a numpad with Honeywell Microswitches, a DEC LK421, and possibly another one or two which I've forgotten.

I've got a Chinese SKCC pingmaster, which was new in box, but that's not special or anything.

I've also got this dome with slider AT board that if it's not new is at least pristine.

They're discrete rubber domes with a PCB, not a sheet with membrane. So this is the best rubber dome keyboard I've gotten under my fingers, but it's still rubber dome. Although the keycaps are good.

I actually have a Pingmaster waiting at my front door right now. Pretty sweet boards, had one before but ended up selling it. Also the dome board is interesting in that it's also MX-compatible, no?

Yep, pretty much the reason I got it. I just haven't got a board with compatible layout to swap them too. It's almost tempting to hand wire a board just so I could use that "Turbo" key.

a whole bunch of Cherry keyboards (frankly, those were just OEM boxes)
Apple Adjustable Keyboard (fancy trapezoid box)
the original Microsoft Natural Keyboard (with fancy explanations of Windows and Menu keys)
BTC 5139 and Chicony-made rubber-dome IBM Enhanced Keyboard
