Hello Geekhack!
Welcome to the GMK Densus interest check, a simple set with an R5 bottom row and stock GMK colours!

Base Kit.

Yes! Only 1 kit. Kitting has changed quite a bit, some spacebars were removed, some 40s support was removed. However some things were added: such as these windowed caps lock keys and Scroll+Num lock keys.

Q: Why did you remove keys?

A: Some of the keycaps were removed to make the kit more simple and thus should lower the cost.

Q: Ne other spacebars avail?

A: Since the alpha colour is L9, you can use bars from L9 + U9 space keys and other sets.

Q: Why R5???

A: I love the additional comfort R5 provides and in my opinion looks nicer than R4.

This set only uses stock GMK colours: L9 for alphas, CC for modifiers and CR for all legends!
This means that there won't be a colour matching period and "should" allow a slightly shorter waiting period.
I've attached some photos comparing CC to U9 and OG double-shots in bluer lighting as well as in yellower lighting respectfully. Board shown here is PC Dolphin by Linworks.

In addition to what's already been said, why does this need to be with GMK? This set is well-suited to being PBT dyesub with one of the myriad of PBT manus, especially given GMK's production queue. Both lead time and price would benefit from such a switch.

Also, I would include all of dededecline's kitting suggestions before including any 6u spacebars.

edit: really like the idea of a straight beige kit with plenty of options and people can just use their own addon kits from other sets and whatnot. people on this site will literally call you a 87 IQ retard for simple kitting mistakes and they *will* stand by it. don't let it get to you. just take the advice and move on.

My guess is R5?

From what I've seen, GMK has started to up their game with production with the new machines. I'm a big fan of the gmk sound and the cap texture and would much prefer GMK over PBT manus as they can sometimes have QC issues compared to GMK which is near perfect.

this is cool bc it pairs well with a lot of the boards you were working on

ill be completely honest in that i think this set is noncompetitive (most consumers don't care about the minor differences in beige), and you will struggle to meet MOQ

my recommendations:

1.) you add some flavor to the set
2.) you work with a vendor that doesn't already have a GMK beige set accounted for
3.) you work with a vendor willing to buy out if the set underperforms
4.) make some of the kitting adjustments others suggested

I like this very much. I got Dolch R5 because I wanted to try R5 but hated its colours in the end, so I think this might give me what that couldn't.

Please consider an accent colours add-on kit. I get only wanting to have one kit and I think that's wise to avoid a queue clogger situation. I just think that it might really help this look more glamorous and potentially appeal to a few more people.

Did you mess up the renders or has ISO-UK support been half-removed? If it's been removed intentionally, your terminal ISO support is wrong - the R3 @ and tilde are UK-specific. Terminal ISO is R3 pipe and R4 <>. But please reconsider your decision to remove ISO-UK because then I'd be out and sad.
