Title: Phantom case with 101 keys?
Post by: nathairtras on Fri, 05 September 2014, 15:44:53
Buying one of the 7bit SS plates from http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=60816.0 (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=60816.0), but I want to try a non-TKL layout on it.  (ALL the keys.)  Closest compatible I have found is the CM Storm TK, however it lacks the cut-out for the three FN row switches on the right side.  Anything else I have come across has a TKL layout, with the five spots above the arrow keys (where a controller would go on many TKL keyboards) blocked.

Do any cases like this exist?

You could always cut the appropriate places in a QFR top. I have done one like that, but I still need to paint it.

Yeah, I'm leaning that direction, just not sure how clean I can get the lines.  Still, I have a QFR I kind of want to put into a different case, so maybe that would make sense.  Use the QFR case with cuts for the Phantom.

Plum 96 maybe?
This looked promising, but the non-typical shape of the PCB makes me leery.
