I've been listening to a lot of psychadelic/electric rock lately so its a nice switch up hearing Black Panther this morning. Any other good rap/hip-hop albums come out the past ~6 months or so?

Black Panther is super good. I think it's going to work really well both in the film and as a stand alone project.

Past 6 months?

Brockhampton - Saturation 1/2/3: mainly all the same formula, but it's super good, not a bad song through their 3 albums.

Injury Reserve - Drive It Like It's Stolen: EP, and too short, but you constantly want to listen to everything again. Very enjoyable project.

Jaden Smith - SYRE: Really good production, get's a bit repetitive after several listens. Probably still worth listening.

N.E.R.D - NO ONE EVER REALLY DIES: I can't say much but it's just a solid album. Little bit political which is my only real dislike.

Rich Brian - Amen: Same formula throughout the album, nothing really new, but a good listen.

Just finished Black Panther. There were a few pretty obvious radio/movie intended songs but I did enjoy the album overall. I almost always enjoy the TDE features as well.

Thanks a ton for this list man, I'll be going through this the rest of the week at work  :thumb:

Didn't know Chigga is Rich Brian now... been ootl for a while

Yeah, dude. What tripped me out the most is Danny Brown closed the gap, and to be completely honest I'm super jealous.

Was surprised recently when I saw him open for Gorillaz(seeing this track now, it makes perfect sense) to find he was really impressive live. They and Kelela combine so well on this track

Yeah, I'm always behind on things.. Was reading about sniperlite and other J Dilla posthumous releases. The Dilla - Madlib - Doom collabs. Really fitting that Busta and Doom kinda go in on that. Heard this for the first time yesterday. Next one I wanna go through is Fishscale

I liked about half the songs from the album. It got my attention because of the Kendrick feature (which was really good) but was surprised by the young ni**as track

Balls deep.

Music actually works exactly like Drugs.

It gives you an -emotion- (usually pleasurable), for you having done more/less nothing.

I generally hate all keycaps. Keycaps are for poofs. Real men touchtype on stems. Non-functional artisans are awesome, I use them for the ESC key ... escape is for cowards anyways, real men go frontal assault.

I know Brockhampton are pretty popular now, but I've started listening to them recently and I'm loving them, listened to Saturation 1-3 front to back so far.

Just got into DEATH GRIPS and so far it's really interesting, I've listened to "Money Store" about two times now and I'm really getting into the really heavy production and the Loud and Muddled vocals, really gives a sense of dread and chaos in their songs, It's not traditional hip hop by any means, but it's really enjoyable to me.

Anyone hear the latest Tribe Called Quest album? Missing Phife but still real good. "We Got It from Here... Thank You 4 Your Service". Couple years old at this point.

Tyler the Creator's Flower Boy has been very enjoyable lately as well.

Going to see Cut Chemist and friends tonight. Should be excellent!

Quote
Hip-hop veteran Cut Chemist is set to release Die Cut, his first album in 12 years, on March 2, 2018.  The album features Chali 2Na, Deantoni Parks (The Mars Volta), Biz Markie, actress Erika Christensen (Parenthood), tune-yards, Farmer Dave Scher, & Dexter Story.

The follow-up to 2006’s The Audience’s Listening serves as the rapper’s second full-length overall but follows a long line of remixes, collaborations, and DJ mixes; in particular, Cut Chemist has put out a couple of projects alongside DJ Shadow (The Hard Sell) and, most recently, he remixed Roots Manuva in 2010. Additionally, the man behind the Cut Chemist moniker, Lucas MacFadden, has also continued his work as part of hip-hop collective Jurassic 5 and Latin funk outfit Ozomatli.

Performer Lineup:   Cut Chemist, El Dusty, DJ ShortKut
More
75%: Scarlet Bandana (TBD) | Singa75 Polycarb (TBD) | SKB75 (TBD) | YMD75 (Box Navy) | XD84 (Outemu Ice) | Plum84 (BKE Redux Heavy)
