Which Akko Tactile Switch is Better?
« on: Thu, 01 December 2022, 12:57:26 »
Gonna buy some Akko switches for my build. I saw a few videos but the sound changes so much depending on the case, keycaps and microphone that I can't really compare them apples to apples. Does anyone have any experience with them in person? I'm divided between the Lavender Purple and V3 Cream Blue

A lot of people actually like that Jelly Blue one or whatever. It's more of a medium tactile, I understand. Sound-wise, they are no better than any other Akko switch. And the '2-stage' is fake. But they are said to be satisfying in feel.

Lavender Purple is well-liked. I tried the lighter Ocean Blue, which uses a regular, non-progressive spring. I find them a bit snappy, they are like baby Holy Pandas, but maybe a little more abrupt. Ocean Blue / Lavender have a lot of fans.

Then, there's the new AKKO POM Browns. An MX Brown, but smoother.
